I don't mind Jaina. I mind the constant AoEs of those decks. It's worse than old freeze mage that had to use their AoEs carefully or just die. 2 frost novas, 2 blizzards and at most 1 flamestrike (more than often none) vs 2 blizzards, 2 dragon's fury, 2 flamestrikes, 2 meteors. It's just bad that Team 5 printed that much AoE for mage.

I'm with Paul D, I don't mind FLJ, but having all that removal plus Polymorphs if they run them is so annoying. I really don't mind any of the Deathknights, they live up to the billing of being super impactful cards. Pally and Warrior definitely got the worst end of DKs though.

I play the Elemental version which only runs Book of Specters. I may throw a single Blizzard or Meteor in there but other than that it's all minions. The Tol'vir Stoneshapers are a good replacement for the big spells against aggro. This list is pretty close to one that Kibler played to Legend last month.

Frost Lich Jaina is an extremely powerful, value-generating late game tool. You can leverage that to heal and play really long games, but other than that you're going to be doing a lot of minion-on-minion combat. I think it genuinely is fun and interactive.

btw the April rotation gonna be ridic when Hagatha/Boom+whatever hero cards come out and they represent the highest value ceiling in the game and there wont be DKs to match

Lol they must be desperate.

Played about 50 games of breakeven with even paladin. Kind of a cool deck because people misplay horribly against it.

Even lock seems like it has no weaknesses though, once again. With even pally it feels like maybe slightly unfavored but not too awful, just gotta bait out the clears and removal and start slamming **** down.

I don't think they're desperate. They've been doing these sorts of things for the past year or so. I think they have caught on to the benefits of keeping players invested in the game by being generous rather than not just depending to blindly keep buying packs. I think the game is really good despite the balance issues and would probably just not play it anymore if it was like it was at the beginning where you either put $100 or more every expansion or not keep up.

When I try to chat to someone it tells me I can't because I'm set to appear offline. Anybody know how to turn that off? I'm marked as green/online in battle.net.

edit:

I logged out, logged back in and went to appear offline and now it's working. Dunno why it didn't work before.

Random thought experiment for new game format. Player A builds/picks 2 decks. Their opponent Player B then gets to see the 2 picks and decides which they want to play and player A gets the remainder.

Pros: Encourages decks to be 50/50. Encourage innovative decks as it doesn't matter how strong the deck is if it has a corresponding deck with similar strength. Gives edge to players who understand strengths and weaknesses.

Cons: How this works if player B doesn't have some of the cards. Queueing is probably more awkward / slower since you can't jump into the game immediately as Player B has to evaluated decks.

Thoughts?

You're already allowed to share decks so I don't think that would be a problem.

Man, new reveals always get me ****ing hyped about HS.

Lots of mage reveal today. Ragnaros can be summoned for Jaina via Jan'alai.

Lots of hero power based cards and lots of also-targets-adjacent-minions. AoE Hex oof
