I think big priest will still be a thing post rotation. It will be knocked down a peg because it loses its swingy bull**** in Barnes and ysharJhhh. But it has all the other pieces.
priest is going to be paying for their sins of last year soon, just like shamans are now. remember they make xpacs/cards in advance and it doesnt account for the current meta. cant wait for anduin to be dumpster again
Really enjoying the game lately. So much so that I'm targeting legend again. Hitting legend would be only my 2nd legend finish ever. Last month I got close with r1-3 with aggro druid, but didnt have the stomach to grind vs control and ran outta time.
FYI first legend was with Malydruid teched vs midrange shaman wayy back. As a casual I only target r5 to get golden cards, and sometimes I go awol and dont play for months, but lately the game feels really fresh to me and diverse. gl.
i dont mind this meta, the number of paladins has dropped rapidly at legend, which tells me people may have overestimated its power.
i went from running white hot to having probably one of the worst runs of cards i've ever had playing this game. seems like every bad thing and draw that could happen is happening every game, opponent always has the exact answer/silence/top deck needed at every opportunity, etc.
i'm going to shift away from big priest because it's rotating, and am going to focus entirely on cube lock til the expansion
5 wins away from golden warlock, the class i thought i would never ever hit gold with.
paladin's the last one with about 120 wins to go and then I'll have all 9. I play this game way too much. Priest is the most, with 1700, then mage/shaman/warrior are all around 1000, druid's 800, rogue is 600 or so and i dont even know how i have 700 hunter wins because i haven't played that class in at least 2 years.
Been playing the game since naxx - just checked the wins. 4300 rogue wins, over 1k in 4 other classes, and sub 200 with the other 4. Warrior lowest with 48. Lol I hate that class.
not sure I understand the aggro paladin obsession on ladder, it's actually auto loss vs control lock. you're better off conceding and queuing up again, you can prob win and queue again in the time you're going to just get casually ground down against warlock. but you'll prob get warlock again... so just dont play that deck, it's bad
Right now, miracle is just not a good deck. It just doesn’t punish control like it used to, since the control deck du jour (warlock) can start dropping huge taunts a turn before or the same turn as the huge gadgetzan turn. And it loses to aggro like always.
Dragon control priest is fun as hell. I was able to steal Rin and then out tempo my opponent and destroy 9 cards from their deck. Next game I used taladram on a voidlord then cubed it and later stole a cube with doomguard in it.
Anyone ever sold an account or know how much one could be worth? Realized I only play arena, have about 100 legendaries and 70k arcane dust just sitting there doing nothing.
After listening to gaara talk on value town last week about how he approaches ladder (he gets high legend on all 3 servers) i realized i need to suck up some of my pride and play decks that I despise if i want to go high legend.
For instance burn mage is insane right now, because of all the priests and warlocks. I hate the deck but i quickly climbed out of the dumpster with it
Climbed from 12 to 7 with jmakin's big priest list. Hit a rough stretch of bad draws/other decks having the answers so went the rest of the way to 5 (dad legend) without a loss with secret/burn mage. I teched in a mirror image to beat the warlocks, pretty hilarious when they drop a cube into what they think is explosive runes.
Yeah that list can be prone to some really nasty cold streak’s if you just draw everything wrong and your opponent always has the right cards.
Maybe I was too harsh on secret mage, it has been quite fun playing mind games with people and playing off meta secrets.
If the meta ever requires me to play paladin to succeed I don’t think I can do it though.
The biggest thing I’ve learned so far with secret mage is that it’s really beneficial to Bluff counterspell because people are so terrified of that card they always test for it first.
