why is the 3 mana axe such a huge change? I thought it wasn't going to be that big of a deal especially for pirate W?

another weird thing is murloc pally has a high win rate but per VS, the play rate is insanely low. do people just hate playing it?

it basically has a lot to do with bloodsail raider and the broken upgrade related openings you could do with it. warrior has a lot of **** they'd rather be doing on 3. their 2 slot sucks a lot, now it has nothing really

FWA was the best card in the game at 2 mana, at 3 mana it's just good.

Pirate warrior had broken openings because it has the best 1 drop in the game -- N'zoth's First Mate, which brings out Patches, and does 2 face damage while putting 2 1/1s on the board. Following that up with FWA on 2 and then all kinds of broken things it can do on 3 is what made the deck.

Many people have noted that Bloodsail Cultist is the real culprit in the deck. She starts the chain that leads to FWA becoming a 4/3 and then often a 5/4 weapon with an Upgrade!

Turn 3 Cultist also leads to 0 mana Dread Corsairs. Followed up by Kokron and then Leeroy or Hydra or Arcanite Reaper, that's usually enough to kill you. But the FWA into the power turn 3 is what's key to the deck.

you know, if a class doesn't have anything at 2, why not play keleseth, hmm...

i really like it for some reason.

i've just played jade druid enough for a life time. went 3-11 today made me think that I'll never be better than terrible at this game. everyone just ranks up easily but for me it's a struggle. story of my life.

The game play is just simply far superior: It's far more forgiving of bad starts...you can't just run away to an easy win off a Turn 1 play a 1/1 and a 1/1. Comebacks are real, decisions matter.

The meta is very diverse, I saw a report yesterday about the top 45 ranked legends players and there were many unique decks.

I've played for about 10 weeks and I'm top 40 ranked legend right now.

Is that the one where it's split down the middle? I get the other CCGs muddled up. I've dabbled in TESL, Eternal, Shadowverse and I think another one where you move cards around a board like chess. Can never get into them in the same way. Maybe I'll give TESL another go

Tbh i've invested too much blood sweat and tears into this game to stop now. Finished #248 last month and i know any day now i'll have a top 100. I was made for this meta, it's all deck archetypes i love to play and i understand (cept jade druid).

Blizz actually got the nerfs right, if jade got nerfed any more than it did, priest would be a meta tyrant right now.

HS almost unplayable in comparison tbh, just feels incredibly simple every time I try to go back. Theres just very few decisions to ever be made. I'll always have a soft spot for HS, but imo TESL is just superior in everything except competitive scene. Hilarious how badly Bethesda has done in terms of marketing it, I've personally converted 3 HS friends to TESL who had no idea it existed, but after trying it are all hooked.

Real good time to try it out with the 2nd expansion set to be announced/released in the next few weeks.

I'm with jmakin, I won't leave HS. I also think this meta is really solid.

I have a keleseth pw that wins a lot of games and it's my go-to when I have warrior quests to clear.

I've been keeping track since the xpac dropped, and with the exception of August 25th and October 5th, I've lost the first game of the day that I played...every day but those two days. I know that no one but I finds that interesting but I thought I'd share. Given how easily tilted I am it's probably a huge reason I don't really care about HS that much nowadays.

It's kind of like, you are dating someone for a while and you get along well pretty well, you're a dedicated and faithful boyfriend. Then all of a sudden there are some problems and she says, "I need to fix myself, give me some space."

Then she deals with her **** and comes back to you and is like "Hey I'm fine now." But in the meantime you're with Gal Godot.

I love how they nerfed innervate which brought the power level of jade druid down massively but the deck is still the number 1 deck because ultimate infestation is still the most busted card they've ever printed.

I hate every moment of playing against that deck. It makes me want to kill myself. I've played vs the deck for months now and it's always the most utterly painful experience and it's even worse now that the deck is outta control busted. 10 out of my 20 games today have been vs jade druid in wild and it's just sapping my will to live. They always have a perfect ramp curve into ultimate infestation and they all sit there emoting like crazy and being utter jerks.

I can't wait for the next rotation. Counting down the days.
