mage plays a flamewaker i have two minions on board

he fireballs me to my face, flamewaker deals two damage to face, he plays arcane missiles, all go face, flamewaker hits face twice again and that leaves him perfect fatal with his other 2 attack minion

I got beat up by 3 face hunters in a row and went ahead and dropped Sylvanas for a Kezan Mystic. Turns out that's the cheat code to queue straight in to a Control Warrior.

Feels good to win my first 7 arena games.

Then run into 3 mages that each have 3 flamestrikes and by some miracle 2 have malygos.

Only epic+ was ysera and I never played her!!! **** me

yeah, the existence of that deck and decks like face hunter are indicative that Blizzard has taken the whole Raiden concept of game design a bit too far in my opinion.

Topdeck Flamestrike ez game?

Raiden was originally created as a super simplistic Mortal Kombat character to allow broader market penetration (teenage girls) that would otherwise have been impossible to reach (in Midway's eyes anyway) due to the difficulty of the game. It was a character that anyone could sit down and mash buttons with and be somewhat competetive, like tempo mage and face hunter.

Some level of that is a necessary evil in any game's development with aggresive growth targets but I feel that the level of competetiveness that can be attained (on the ladder anyway) playing either of these decks by simply spewing your hand onto the board with no real regard for thought process is a bit over the top.

I have two grim patrons and a warsong commander and another minion in arena, the opponent has 2 minions on one health. I topdeck a mad bomber, play it, it deals all damage to the warsong.

Well had quite the game. My opponent had 2 malgnis by turn 5.

Things were going well at first - he had a voidcaller, he ran into my shredder, out popped his 2nd voidcaller. But I got a patient assassin! i killed it on my turn with weapon and out came his malganis

so i ran the assassin into malganis and made a bro.

he then bane of dooms for his 2nd malganis. fun stuff

also learned that when you avenging wrath a imp gang boss w/ malganis out, you "kill" the imp, ... then it gets the buff. so it's a 3/2. pretty bull****

i just lost b/c a mage binked kidnapper from unstable portal, allowing him to sap my full health ancient of war for exact lethal

handlock vs ctrl warrior. He's used both brawls, has 0 cards and both acolytes are burned. I'm jaraxxus have 2 infernos and a sunfury. He's at 30 life but has literally no hope of winning the game as I have a healbot in my hand and can play around everything....unless he topdecks nefarian and pulls sacrificial pact.....ftg

I unstable portal a toshley, I play him against a face hunter it gives me taunt spare part so I taunt him up. So at this point I have this taunted toshley next to a loatheb next to a piloted shredder and he has nothing on board, I'm thinking its gg

I played thoughtsteal 6 ****ing times in a priest mirror....didn't get a single good card.....4 acolytes. Meanwhile my opponent copied sylvannas and boom from a single thoughtsteal AND those are the only bombs in my deck.

I have 7 health, 5 minions on board, have lethal easily. Opponent has 1 2/3, 1 card.

Top decks ragnaros, and he does 8 to my face. Standard.

Just had a similar situation happen to me.

Game before I have a mage down to 1 health on turn 5. I have the death rattles of a Belcher and harvest golem, and loatheb.

He has 2 cards and mad scientist and the 5/5 that lowers mana cost by 1.

I had decided to hit his face, fireball, and frostbolt to get him to 1 health rather than trade for his 5/5. I have another frostbolt in hand.

He top decks a secret, and runs the scientist into the golem for another secret, then freezes all my minions.

I ping, he becomes immune. I add a boulder fist to the board.

He CoC to freeze me again his next turn and kills a couple more minions.

Next turn I frostbolt, he secrets 8 armor. I add another small minion.

Then he plays a card that battle cry is set a hero health to 15, he chooses himself.


End up losing eventually.

sounds like you had your first experience playing freeze mage

if you dont like playing against fatigue decks, freeze mage is about 100 times worse. i hate that matchup with almost every deck.
