We can quibble over what a mile is, but I'll say this: It's as far away as two cards can be and still have a non-troll post asking "Which?".

How do you guys rank 2 mana 3/2s vs 2/3s? I used to rank the 3/2 much higher but lately I find myself thinking its closer and generally I take the 2/3 if I have a ping class and the 3/2 otherwise. Just wondering what the general consensus is.

Edit: Just consider vanilla 3/2 vs 2/3 obviously strong battle cry or things like that will change the value

i think they pretty much the same but i favor the 3/2 slightly. In the spots where i would pick Raptor i would also pick River Croc but if the pick was raptor,croc,useless card i would take the raptor unless I am priest then I would take Croc

It's ssc by a mile mad scientist isn't that strong in paladin but ssc is probably at its best in paladin. Playing shielded into ssc ends games on turn 3. Mad scientist needs you to pick up an avenge or it's just horrible.

The stats for it show they are pretty much equal these days. I prefer 3/2's unless I have SSC or something similar in my deck.

2/3 went up in value since people started picking 2/1 one drops.in my oppinion there arent enough 1 drops out there for 2/3 to be as good as 3/2.
the basic theory behind it is that you want your early drops to trade up efficently and a 3/2 will kill most 3 drops while a 2/3 does not, so a 3/2 is significantly more tempo.
its of course the other way around with a minnion that is likelly to be biggest minnion on board at any given time you want it to trade down efficiently thats why a 4/7 is better than a 7/4 while 3/2 is better than 2/3

ddubious i agree ssc is the correct pick by quite a margin but it isnt one of the picks were i think its preposterous that one would think differently. like i see were bobo is coming from i just disagree.

See I think they are not pretty much the same. Obviously if I need 2s then when one is offered I will take it. My point is though that I think 2 mana 2/3 have gone up a lot in value lately. The obvious reason is the prevalence shielded mini bots. However I also think in general buffs are so much better now that getting something to stick is super strong and having 3 attack from turn 2 will no longer guarantee a kill on there turn 3 play since a strong 3 play has 4 health. So basically I think if I can ping I should value 2/3 over 3/2. Is that crazy?

Also I pick I ssc and I don't think it's close.

yeah well there still arent a lot of 3 drops with 4 health.
the really good buffs are velens chosen and blessing of kings neither paladin nor priest can ping so i dont really see your point here.
also the meta has gotten very fast so if you ping turn 3 pass you will fall behind significantly. even pinging into 2 drop on turn 4 isnt that great often.

I don't think buffs got better i think the opposite is true having more minions on the board got better cuz aoe got rarer. Buffing 1 minions puts you in spots where if your opponents have an answer you lose a lot of tempo and if he doesn't u gain a lot. These kind of plays hurt you in games you are already winning and in games you are losing you will most of the time not be able to get good value out of the buff.

Pinging on turn 3 is not something u want to do I think playing Spider Tank into an abusive sergeant on turn 3 is better than pining it, and i would consider playing a 3/3 in the same spot over pining. So i wouldn't pick minions with the goal of setting up good turn 3 pings.

OK you guys have convinced me I have been over valuing 2/3 a bit when drafting lately.

back to back 12's today, one on NA one on EU. Pally and Hunter. Crazy how different the meta is between the two. Didn't play one mage on EU and 8 out of 12 were vs mage on NA.

Thoughts?

Tinkertown technician, if you can proc it it's a bonus, but it's still a solid 3 drop if you don't. The other two are pretty meh 2 drops.

depends om your class.
with pala its a slam dunk bk while with druid i pick the bgh and am very happy with it.
mage, shaman and priest i go bk althoug its closer there.
warlock and rogue propably bgh.

i dont like the loot hoarder here.
we cant use our heropower on it but it will die to a single ping. we allready have some better draw in the northsire and the power word shield.
the mini machine can get really out of handt its basicly the only 2 drop that can carry you through a whole game if you can protect it.
priest however is not one of the classes that can do that somewhat consistently.
the tinkertown is finish as a mage or paladin i would propably pick it up but the 3 spot with priest can become a bit crowded with velens chosen and dark cultist.
so i guess mini machine it is. when we play priest we want a lot of 2s anyway since we absolutely have to have a 2 drop on 2 or are pretty much screwed.

id take micro machine here. its solid early which is what wed want it to be in priest. plus if it can survive a couple turns it easily trades up.

I think I'd pick micro machine here, but you can obviously argue for any pick. I like tinkertown the least though. MM has nice synergy with pws even more so than other 2 drops.

The better you are, the worse the RNG cards are. Mad Bomber is a total piece of ****, and really is a low tier draft 2 drop, imo.
