Only loss was to another pally who was able to outvalue me. Fel Reaver won me like 4 games by itself. 2 packs, 255 gold, and a gold card for rewards...not too shabby.

Muster for battle is a great card. Aldor is the real MVP tho. And, when blood knight hits turn 3/4 (especially for two shields) you just auto win the game. The middle finger type curve ended up working out as the games I didn't have a two drop the dude was enough to sustain myself until I got into my reasonable late game.

Am I crazy for picking Dancing Swords in a few recent decks over some other bad cards? Like, Heartharena wanted me to pick Fearsome Doomguard over it in a deck where I already had enough late game, and needed early game cards.

I might take a 2 drop over fearsome doom guard but probably not dancing swords as you have so many good 3 drops already that it's pretty rare that you will want to play swords over them. There is also void caller synergy with doom guard. Enough so to where you just win the game if you get him out for free sometimes whereas sword never wins you the game but could lose it for you. There are also lots of 4/3 3 mana minions and stuff like ogre to where sword just doesn't trade favorably. A lot of times sword is also trading vs a 3/2 + hero power.

There also isn't as much late game as you think as sometimes you just don't want to tap, making kodo rider and watcher not as great as normal.

You need early game yes, but there is a huge difference between 2s and 3s. You already have 4, 3 drops so I wouldn't feel compelled to pick the swords. Especially in a slow deck where you're likely to miss your 2 drop and get tempo'd out, swords just makes the situation worse too often.

I was thinking more like I need more "early" game. But I suppose more 3 drops doesn't help with the lack of 2s. I drafted Voidcaller later, otherwise definitely take Fearsome. Anyway, it won 7 games, I'm happy with that result. Imp Gang Boss is amazing.

It appears I can only get to 12 wins with druid. Didn't think this deck was that great, but I ran good and didn't face too many strong decks. Druid of the Fang won every game where I got it out as a 7/7, and I won two others thanks to BGH taking down a big threat at the right time.

How's mounted raptor been in arena?

Seems pretty solid to me, the stickiness is great for stuff like Frostwolf or Power of the Wild, and another activator for Beast stuff is always good.

Man this makes no sense. In the TGT era I averaged maybe 4 wins a run, possibly a bit less. Since LOE bonus went into effect, I haven't had a run go less than 5 wins, with like a 7 average.

Maybe you got better? Is that so unbelievable?

No, my pre-TGT winrate towards the last few weeks leading up to it was getting around 6.5 or so, like I won 12 games 5 times in August over not THAT many runs. Didn't win more than 10 in all TGT. Mostly 4 or less. And now I'm crushing again. Shrug.

Hit 7 wins for the first time last night and just took a deck to 8. Didn't think either was particularly strong but I guess I'm focusing on making sure I have a lot of early game drops so maybe that's making the difference?

It's all about the curve. Just had my first 12 win run with a paladin. No consecration, truesilver, or murloc knight. MVP was def muster for battle on turn 3 followed by cult master on 4. That alone won me like 4 games.

varian did pretty much nothing, played him twice when I had lethal on board already and he got discarded by fel reaver 4 times.

I haven't played arena much over the last couple of months and it felt like ages since i'd got 12. List is missing 2 Mana wyrms, 2 Chows, Flame cannon, unstable portal, flame juggler and jeweled scarab.

The 1 drops were MVPs though the discover mechanic cards were good too. I had a lot of card draw so I was able to hold Gorillabot till I had a mech down most of the time.

Very nice. I don't know if I've ever gotten over 400. I swear I lose all my gold immediately after going 12. Last time I got like 270 and immediately dumpstered 4 runs in a row at 6 or less.

I just went 0-3 with what I thought was an ok paladin deck on my f2p EU account. Sucks, because gonna have to save up 110 gold to go again.

I'm on a roll still. Up to like 1200 gold, I don't think I've ever had this much while playing arena consistently. Won 9 with a really good Warrior deck that a better player certainly gets 12 with. I've played Warrior like 4 times recently. I think LOE made the class pretty good. I'd say Hunter and Priest are the worst. Warlock also felt like it got a lot better from LOE just from Peddler.

Yea hunter is ****ing terrible. I've hit 12 with everything but that. I don't know if I've ever hit 10 with it but I rarely pick it.

I have been accumulating gold as I want to start playing some arena.

Should I read this thread from the beginning for some instruction? Any other helpful tools? I imagine I should be use HearthArena to help me draft as I am just starting.

Yeah, Heartharena is a super valuable tool.

Webspinner is apparently god tier in arena. I have 4 of them in this deck I have now, along with 2 glaivezooka's and 7-0 now lol.
