Someone played Mogor against me while my ogre brute was out, the brute tried to smash face, but mogor moved him in the right direction....that was a fun one to watch

I've had 4 12 win decks the past 2 days. It feels good. Had a mage deck with no flamestrikes but 2 blizzards/CoC and a doomsayer. Let's just say that was fun.

If you want to be great at this game you can never draft high rng cards. Consistency is just 1000x more valuable than upside. High rng cards will get you more losses along with more wins, so fewer crapout arenas but not enough 12 wins.

12 wins with mage. Mage is absurd when you get flamestrikes. 10 of the 12 wins were just not competitive in the least bit - wire to wire wins where it's determined by like turn 5 but you're just playing out the string.

One insane game against a mage where I finally got the board but was at 6 hp or so with my healbot somewhere in the deck. He was top decking and pinging, and I managed to KO him w/ 1 life. Pretty sick win!

Played the whole run w/ prevaricator. he had a lot of good lines. Jeeves was the surprise MVP, with no card draw outside duplicate he replenished my hand a bunch getting me to my flamestrikes.

Yeah, I agree. There are times you need RNG cards.

But when I think about consistency, I really mean cards like Ogre Brute. There aren't many of course but a missed specific attack early can basically completely doom your game, which is brutal.

2nd 12 win run with a somewhat vanilla mage deck. flamestrikes def won me some games but blood knight had about 5 games eating divine shields

haven't played much arena the last couple months, was real happy to take this to 8-0 but failed in my 11-2 match yet again, still no 12s. Lost to both Mages I played cuz they actually had blizzards/flamestrikes and then a paladin in the last round who had great answers for me and I never caught up. 1 flamestrike probably would have made this a 12r. Pulled Vol'jin and 280 gold for the rewards tho

So mad at myself just busted out at 6 wins with a mage deck that should have been 8+.

Loss one was due to having no turn two against a very good Shaman who had tempo all game and steamrollered me.

Loss two Mage against Mage. I have Frostbolt, Flame Cannon, Coin and Blackwing Technician, Elven Archer. He has a Goldshire footman on board what would you do?

Loss three was partly tilt leading to me playing round a secret very badly.

I'm just letting off steam and I want to know what other people would do on turn two of the second game. Use removal on a 1/2 Goldshire Footman or coin out the Blackwing Technican with no three drop to use on turn 3. He had pinged face turn 2.

That's what I did. Seemed like a waist of good removal and with him passing turn 2 I felt he probably had a flame cannon to deal with the Technician.

I think the real misplay came on turn 5 when I failed to coin out a Tiger against his 1/1 Footman 2/8 Deathlord and 4/3 Shredder instead killing the shredder and footman and injuring the Death Lord leaving myself with a week board and only removing the footman the shredder left a 3/2.

I shouldn't have complained earlier in the beginners thread

I just somehow got this:

(not that impressive for you good players but my previous best was 4 wins lol)

Last game I unstable portaled a fel reaver and played it on turn 5 against a rogue, he played that card that destroys a random minion and combo a weapon, obv hit the fel reaver and i saw flamestrike fireball ogre burned and i couldn't recover (that flamestrike would have won me the game for sure)

That unstable portal was such an MVP i got

1x Alextrasza
2x Fel Reaver
1x Sylvannas
1x Hogger
