Saw this on reddit. Now that's an arena deck.

That's a bit absurd...talk about running good during a draft.

i think flamestrike against fireball is way closer than people tend to think especially in the current fast meta.

Thought I might get 5 wins from that very surprised to see it go ten. Lost to a Shaman who did 27 damage on one turn a Paladin who had too many big minions for me to deal with and a better mage, just when I had began to hope I might go 12 again. Most interesting game was against a paladin he emoted well played and throw down a madder bomber leaving me on one health and him on twenty something I managed to hold on for five or six turns to get the win.

looks like a 12-win deck to me

Maybe with some one else playing it. Seemed light on heavy minions to me. Somehow I managed to cut off the Core hound from that picture.

How do you play aggro classes like Hunter and Rogue in the arena? Recently I've gone 0-3 and 1-3 respectively with those classes and now I'm 5-0 so far with paladin.

well in general you want to have a low mana curve on hunter. some 1 drops and a lot of 2 drops, idealy 2-4 weapons including a a glavezooka. than you play the tempogame and go face a lot, only trade only when its necessary. often you just have to yolo it because hunter doesnt really have any good come bach mechanics meaning when you fall behind and arent able to close out the game quickly you will propably loose.
the early game is really key here you absolutely cant miss an early drop if you have to go heropower on turn 2 its so hard to come back from that. Hunter has such a hard time getting on the board at a later point of the game.
In general you really dont want a long game if how ever you find yourself forced into a long game it is really important to realize that early on and start using your heroability as often as possible idealy every turn.

rogue plays a bit differently since rogue can come back from a significant board disadvantage and has access to a lot of burst damage. in general though the rogue has all these amazing early tempo plays. coin si7 is devastating, backstabbing a 2 drop is so much tempo, the auto barber, the deadly poisons, eviscerates and your dagger all those give you insane amounts of tempo early on.
if things go as planned you will propably go into the middle game at a board advantage but will often be at a card disadvantage, so having a single sprint in rogue decks is really nice so if you dont quite have the reach to kill your opponent you can refill your hand and hopefully draw into the last points of damage.
when you assembled all the pieces of teh jigsaw you just try to set up a turn in which you start with a minnion and a weapon in play and start dropping your sharpd sword oils, deadly poisons, eviscerates and cold bloods having a sap for that turn is great too i really try top ick up 1 sap but not 2 if i can help it with that kind of bursty deck.

thats of course best case scenarios and often enough you just wont get the possibility to draft one of those kind of decks.
sometimes you just realize its not gonna happen in that case some key cards change in rogue for example saps and sprints become way worse picks when you go the controll route. they arent useless but if you go controll you usually want to drop like a boulder fist oger or some other big dude on turn 7 and not sprint and if you sap a big creature thats still a lot of tempo but also immediate card disadvantage.
on the other hand you really want to pick up an assasinate and while the assasins blade often is too slow in a faster rogue build it becomes quite good if you have some healing and a few taunts.

if you play a control hunter you want to pick up something like a deadly shot and a multishot.

this is allready a pretty long post and i am just scratching the surface. it might be better if you ask more speciffic questions or record a draft.

First 12 win arena in a little while. Feels good after being on a fairly meh run lately, even if the strategy was just have lots of good cards and win

Well done binkles.

Flame cannon is such a stupid good card that mage didn't need.

How are you supposed to play Shaman in arena? all their early removal cards have overload, they have no class specific early minions that can trade two for one and only one AOE and that has overload and is a rare.

Interesting draft decision:

I think I really need another 2 drop, but the other options are pretty good..

you really need the 2 drop.
you can not go heropower on turn 2.

Yeah I'd probably take the Holy Nova and pray for a 2 drop in the last two cards and then regret it.

I hang on to Kezan Mystic in the mulligan against paladin, he plays t1 secret, I coin-steal it on t3, and it's Eye for an Eye with an instant "I'm Sorry." emote

Horrible value-failure aside, I think that was my favorite arena moment ever.

Thoughts? Yes, Glaivezooka is an amazing card but I already have 3 weapons (plus the eaglehorn bow has secrets to activate it.)

One one hand, because I am a hunter and also have a fast deck, games are going to end quick and I am less likely to run into situations where i can't use all my charges, and will sometimes use weapons for reach making me damaging myself less of an issue as for other classes. It may be worth it just to make sure I get that glaive early and push my tempo.

However, I also don't mind either of the other cards here. I mean I normally think they are both below average cards, but abusive sergeant fits in nicely with this deck and commando gives me a ping that doesn't push my face/is a card I can play later with mana. I'd be more inclined to consider commando If i had a hunter's mark.

I'm leaning towards Abusive sergeant, The fact that I am a fast deck also means card advantage is not as big a deal.

it's the glaive

abusive is fine, so is glaive, but I prolly would go abusive there

stormpike is a terrible pick, too slow

I pick abusive in that spot but am not mad at glaive.

Just played the most tilting game of arena. I'm playing Shaman against a Paladin who won't stop emoting the whole game. Justice demands retribution? You don't say.

So he out tempo'd me the whole game like Pally does, however I've finally managed to stabilize the board. We are both top decking and I have 5 minions on board against his single shielded minibot, but I'm down to 2 life with no taunts. I go for the totem and get the taunt, with enough damage for lethal next turn. Then he top-decks mind control tech and hits the one in six ball to take the totem and the game.

Is it just me or is Mind Control Tech suddenly everywhere? Whenever I have it it's useless, but it kills me all the time. I never think if it's worth "playing around" and then they grab my Shreddrer and it's gg.
