I mean, obviously you should prioritise playing all your mana before using the hero power, but anytime you have two mana to spare it's pretty much always correct to draw a card. It's also important to plan your turns ahead, because you always want to draw a card at the start of your turn (because you don't want to draw a better answer/card and then be unable to play it).

Soulfire is a tricky card that will take some getting used to. Two soulfires + power overwhelming + darkbomb + hellfire gives you a lot of burst, you just have to be careful about using soulfire in spots where you're not discarding important cards.

The 'weakest' part of your deck I think is that you don't really have the demons to support your voidcallers. The dread infernals are definitely nice, but oftentimes you'd rather have their battlecry to help clear the board, particularly because we don't have too many 1 health minions in our deck (watch out for implosion though [and onyxia]).

I'd probably be mulliganing pretty aggressively too for zombie chows/flame imps

From now on I'm going to stop pretending to play control in arena. I clearly don't know how. I'm so used to just smashing face with hunter. I'm doing the same next arena. Not like I can do worse :P

Started this one on January 17th and haven't played an arena since. It was worth the wait! Most games resulted in them milling me a ton with my own fel reaver only to draw me into multiple fireballs for lethal.







Only loss was to the nut nut Pally draw.

Playing mage kinda feels like cheating but oh well lol

Went 12 9 and 10 last night my first time playing in months. Now have a what looks like at most a 3 win Shaman in queue. Ended up seeing 0 removal the entire draft except for earth shocks....28 minion deck but no fire eles.

please teach me.

Had a really nice Paladin session with ftl and Bobbo last night. While I ended up with only 4 wins, I chalk that up more to my internet connection than anything. Which is weird because it rarely happens. Comcast said we had intermittent issues in our area last night... thanks Comcast.

All in all, the overall draft cards were subpar as a whole. My streak of essentially zero legendaries in arena play continued. We were able to get some great value out of some relatively terrible cards like Mana addict. They also were a great help in instructing me how to combo correctly, utilizing things like Argent protector and youthful brewmaster, and helped me really be able to see the board much better than I have been able to on my own.

Considering how close my final game ended up being, even after missing almost two whole turns due to disconnect, I have a feeling we could have gotten 8 or 9 wins instead of the 4 I ended with.

Anyway, thumbs up to you both. I really appreciate being able to go over all of that with you, and I think it will be a big help going forward. It also gave me a greater appreciation of the Paladin Class

Did anyone start up a Skype group? If so PM me the infos...I've got a bunch to learn. Only going 9 with an insane mage deck felt bad but I lost to crazy openers.

Nice, just mcted the **** out of my opponent. He had win on board, me with ten health and him with a force tank max, two guys, the second half of a sludge Belcher and a faerie dragon. Binked the FTM for the win

Well, after playing HS for a year now, I finally did it. Got 12 wins in arena.



I can recall one game against a Pally where I had a Force-Tank Max and I took down a Sunwalker with it and then I used the recombobulator and it turned into Chromaggus and the only draw I got from it was two cult masters, which was fine since I needed more cards anyway and after the pally silenced my Chromaggus with an owl and it was already down to one health, I traded into something and got two cards from the cult masters.

Also, my last game was against a Priest and the Cult master just gave me insane value where I could have easily played a 4/10 Twilight Drake. Other than that, cogmaster and a good amount of cheapish mechs helped me out well throughout the run in the early game.

Way to go A. Currently sitting at 5-1 with what I feel is an even better Paladin deck than I played the other night. Aside from some horrible mulligan draws, I can see this deck getting 8-10

I'm a relative noob but after a few dozen arenas I'm starting to think card draw is ridiculously underrated.

Also I just ran into a Paladin who had 6 Consecrations...

****, set myself up this week so that I came into today with 235 gold. Checked my daily quest and it's a 60 - Win 5 games with Paladin or Priest. Great, Paladin is my favorite and most comfortable class. I can hope to roll Paladin in the arena and have an efficient day.

I've read that Priest is one of the worst classes for arena. I have 0 experience playing a Rogue (have leveled up to 10 and then never played it again).

Think I'm going to roll with Mage and just wing it. But first I'm going to win 5 games with Paladin (casual or ranked) so that I have enough gold for an arena mulligan after I presumably get destroyed playing Mage.

Priest is one of my favorites honestly, and Mage is awesome. Last night I had Druid/Shaman/Warrior haha.

Got a Paladin I didn't think was very good to 10-1, then lost on a disconnect and got crushed by a Mage on MCT of all things. I hate that card so much. First 12 still pending.

Dropped 12 with a pretty sweet Rogue deck today. Last 2 runs with Rogue have been 11 and 12. Prolly my favorite arena class.





Ysera won 6 games by herself. Perdition's Blade was super good. Prep was ok, got to Prep + Fan twice and Prep + Eviscerate twice when I wouldn't have had the mana otherwise. It was my first pick and it was up against garbage so I took it hoping for a Sprint. Never got to Prep into Oil though.

You'll have to trust me I won the last match, since I played it on mobile and didnt screenshot. Got 330 gold, a golden deadly shot, and a pack.
