Had barely played the past week (was in the UK) but today played a bit of EU. (On my legend grind there) Rank 4 and 3 I encountered a ton of mages. Mages mages mages everywhere. All sorts. I'm STILL teching double kezan because every mage basically is running double scientist with a grab bag of secrets.

2nd most common opponent, oddly, was warrior. But not full fledged control warriors (which thrilled me, as I play ~only rogue on EU). Instead, weird hybrids with Frothing Berserkers and plenty of weapons. Pry told me this deck is the new en vogue deck on reddit, so could be why. Doesn't seem strong to me at all though, but that's probably because I'm used to getting slaughtered by control warrior, so it's a nice change of pace to dice up the midrange/combo type of deck.

Yeah I'm still seeing tons of mages around rank 4-5. I'm seeing tons of mage but differant variations lately fatigue/freeze/tempo/mech. A huge % hunter as well. Then a crap ton of rogue and druid.

I've played vs a ridiculous amount of face hunter on NA between ranks 2-4 the past couple days.

Warlock is all over the ****ing place. EU ranks 3 and 4, all kinds (Zoo, Demonlock, Handlock, and other)

About 30 games today, more than a quarter Warlock. Other quarter was Hunter. Not a lot of mage at all.

Real bummer for me since Zoo appears to have a nice edge on Rogue

Not sure why I keep playing a ton of priests (i guess people are trying it out in non-ranked) but it's ****ing annoying.

Yeah that new priest deck is getting played a decent amount. I've been farming it with my tempo mage with double poly so loving it.

Seeing alot of mage hunter pally warr and priest today. I'd say more mage then anything else not one mech mage though. Most warriors I've seen in awhile prolly to counter all the face hunters.

It's hard to plan for this current meta. On the one hand there are these face hunters that just crush, while 70-80% of the time you are facing more control type decks. If you create a highly defensive deck vs. hunters, you just have a very tough time vs. control, while if you go the other way, face hunters just face plant you.

Anyone have a solution?

All I know is whenever I tech a certain way, I never play the decks I gear up against, and as soon as I go back and change things up, I get rooted.

I've gone back and forth between double kezan and no kezan in my oil - whenever I run double, the Mages and Hunters disappear, and it's Druid and Warlock. And vica versa.

Seriously though, control warrior is the way to go. It rocks face hunter and is generally a favorite in control v control matchups. The matchups it tends to be weak against are the midrangey combo decks like druid.

Over the past 24 hours or so, I've logged about 50 ranked games on EU. Hunters are 25% of the opponents. Warlocks are also 25% of the opponents.

Only have played 2 rogues. Kinda crazy, I think rogue is really strong...

I've been playing 2x Kezan in my druid deck recently which seems to be doing just fine. In non secrets matchup, the Kezan does a decent job helping to curve out the 4 mana spot between shade and the 5 drop taunts. It's not perfect by any means, but it's not the end of the world playing a 4/3 for 4 mana.

coffee, the problem is the direct competitor for that 4 slot is a shredder. Both are 4/3, but the ensuing body is generally at least a 2/2 - for oils, thats a target for burst + face, same with druids

trust me, i like them too, but they are underperformers vs 7 of the 9 classes

You're right, I took out shredder's for kezan at the moment. I just find it hard to accept that 20% of the time you are a massive underdog to tempo mage and hunter.

I'm running 0 Kezan in any of my decks ATM, I feel like the meta has shifted away from it. TBK making an appearance in my decks again tho.

I'm seeing a lot of demon lock, feel like I may have to run double owl to deal with all the silenceable threats in that deck.

Such a tilting morning...lost three straight and dropped to two stars under rank 5...then went on a won 7 straight only to lose 3 more...4 hours and still at rank 4. Only playing pally...not a consistent enough meta to blaze through to legend...I need a break haha

Kezan isnt consistent enough currently I agree. I'm seeing diff classes each day. Though I always see crap tons of mages and hunters its still not enough with the other classes mixed in.

TBK is interesting because seems like every deck runs a belcher ATM and you get the bonus of crushing druids. I was feeling Harrison in all my decks a week ago but not so much now.

even rogues and hunter are running belcher right now, tbk has been great for me

Glad to see TBK is back, I'm going to add it in and remove my belcher's, and charge all of my druid of the claw's

small sample, but NA high/mid legend is basically all druid and shaman. Not good to play Warrior right no.

Seems like shaman just popped up very recently again.

35 games on EU from rank 2 or 3 to legend today.
-9 druids
-7 mages
-6 hunters
-6 paladins

thats 28 of the 35. and a pretty decent meta snapshot. druid is always going to be popular bc its not that difficult to play, decks are reasonably easy to customize, and it's just all-around strong. (only 1 somewhat popular below average matchup) the tempo mage is running RAMPANT but my hunch is this will blow over. it's a response to the druid I guess. hunters will always be common as well, because especially face it's the lowest common denominator deck with a reasonably high power level. paladins are a bit trickier to play than the other 3 mentioned and imo have a higher outbound power output, but also a higher floor. priest/rogue/warrior/shaman/warlock are just less common nowadays.

Played about 40 games (NA) from rank 10 to rank 5 today, didn't chart, but I'd guess:
10 Hunters (6 Face, 4 Midrange)
8 Mages (6 Tempo. 2 Mech)
8 Warlocks (6 Handlock, 2 Demon-zoo-thing)
5 Druids
4 Paladins
3 Priests
1 Warrior
1 Rogue

Had a good run with Trump's Paladin... Definitely think Black Knight is a worthwhile tech card right now - almost everything popular runs good targets except FaceHunter/MechMage

Lots of druid and mage today. Good amount of hunter as usual. Some pally and warr. Didnt see much rogue/shaman/priest/lock

Yeah all I've seen this morning while dropping from Rank 2-4 are:

- Ramp Druid
- Random ass never seen before Mages playing random secrets
- Handlock
- Midrange Paladin

Handlock is actually the BEST matchup for anti-aggro Priest of these. Probably about 50% vs Handlock and a lot lower against the others. Ramp Druids I guess all know to keep Innervate against Priest so they can do Combo + Innervate + Roar? I didn't know that was the gameplan when playing Druid against a Priest. I dunno how to combat these decks (Facehunter?) but yeah that's probably over 50 games on NA ladder, Ranks 2-4 in the last 12 hours.
