I just beat one, it must be a Christmas miracle. They are so incredibly OP, it's off the charts. I'll take face hunter all day rather than face a decent oil rogue.

Anyone else see mech mage and hunter fall off quite a bit? Went from rank 9 to rank 7 today. Saw a TON of Paladin and Warrior. Faced some grinder mages, a couple mech mages, and 2 face hunters. Made a lot of mental mistakes today, but still managed to climb a couple ranks. The matches were so tailored made for me to climb faster. Oh well, I've had to deal with my uncles stroke and that's on my mind, but otherwise I shouldn't complain.

I'm not seeing mech mages much at all recently. I think the meta has caught up to the deck. I know I was playing it last season and it felt alot weaker in the current ladder so I switched back to druid.

Still seeing a decent amount of hunter just not hunter every game.

Today: Seen a ton of druid, pally, rogue, hunter, and not so much of anything else. Why have ppl stopped playing mech mage? Still OP imo. Just play it without secrets.

When everybody picks there class and techs there deck for a deck(mech mage) it makes the deck suck. Everybody also knows how to play vs mech mage after the last month. Mech mage might be safe to play once people lose there mech mage tilt from last month.

I'm even seeing a priest resurgence with this deck http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/20259...i-aggro-priest. Which completely craps on mech mage.

Feels like druid and rogue are the king of the hill right now to me.

On EU in the lower ranks I encountered a ton of mech mage. Kezan is still really good.

Tons of locks out today. Alot of handlock and that demon lock. Quite a bit of rogue. Didnt see a mage or hunter in all 15 games variance or what lol?

I hate it hate it hate it but all i see are mages, midrange (mostly) and face hunters, or pallies so I am forced to go face rogue. I would rather play something else but it seems to be the best matchup against all the decks I see. I have not played a ton this season until today, but i don't see a better route to go.

Handlock is on the rise thanks to StrifeCro and Lifecoach (I think), popularizing it again in big tournaments. Good thing I have 2 BGH's in hand.

Sidenote: Whenever I get rid of my Kezan's I queue up vs Mage and Hunters. So annoying. Right now I'm running 2 Kezan's and 2 BGH's with harrison.

Today I've noticed a huge uptick in this new version of mage with counterspell and mirror entity. Tons of secrets and it's annoying. The meta is so weird, one day you don't see any mage's and now they're 50% of my matchups at around the rank 4-6 range. Anyone seeing this as well?

Mages are the most popular class I've played this month by a good margin.

I've been having pretty good success on early climb (17->11) with Freeze Mage.. ****s on the standard Mech Mage (mirror entity = free doomsayer/explosivesheep board clear) Does so-so against Face Hunter, crushes Zoo (seen a lot of those, not sure why, seems like the worst of the low curve decks to me)

On EU in the midranks (12->10) I played 13 games, of which 10 were against mage or hunter. (7 and 3) Then I played 4 more and matched up against 3 warriors. (As soon as I switched to double kezan, naturally)

Anyway, meta really does seem cancerous there, but a 20 game sample, who knows.

last ~ 2 days from rank 6- rank 3 on EU:

73 games played

15 mages, mostly tempo variant, 2-3 mechs and 1-2 freeze
11 druids, mostly midrange with some ramps in there
10 paladins
10 rogues, mostly standard oils and 2 mech
8 hunter, about even between face and mid
7 warlocks, mostly demonlocks with 2 handlocks
6 warriors
3 priests and shamen

now that im pushing past rank 8, there are a ton of warriors on eu. it's weird and shameful. rogue is no longer a good option

edit: Having said that, I'm 3-3 with Oil Rogue vs Warrior. Combination of playing well and getting lucky in that matchup, but it just feels so unwinnable, it's odd that I'm .500.

Eu lower ranks are just face hunter/mech mage for my first 6 games of this season. Quite depressing.

I read that people think Oil vs Control is 50:50 but I imagine part of that was due to some control warriors not quite understanding the rogue deck in its early days.

Freeze mage vs warrior should be 0% but not every warrior understands to armour up every turn

Yeah, it's a waste of time. I was reading more about the matchup, it's something along the lines of 5/95 if you don't have the coin, 10/90 if you do (Antonidas -> Coin, Frostbolt, Ice Lance, Ice Lance, and pray you have enough fireballs to finish the job)

I've gotten into the habit of conceding as soon as I see the Warrior portrait, definitely not worth the 10+ minutes sub-rank5.

The real worry for me w/ Freeze Mage is that more and more people seem to be teching in Kezan Mystic, which is also basically an auto-loss.
