i usually visualize some nice setups and decks for most new cards.

but these two cards are simply really bad.

its a LOTTTTTT worse than fire elemental, which is still one of the best cards in the game.

Would need something that is as OP or even more than mechwarper for dragons, to make it decent.

So far- and it obviously doesnt mean much, seems like the decks that could fit the dragons flavor are mostly freeze mage and handlocks imo.

how is it a lot worse than fire elemental? 1 less attack/health, 1 less mana. the condition seems fairly easy to meet.

I think Warrior could fit dragon

you wont have 20 dragons in your deck.

The condition wont be met a lot of the time. Especially if youre not a deck holding a lot of cards like freeze mage or handlock, and I think 5/4 for 5 is worse than 6/5 for 6.

I think 5/5 fire elemenetal for 6 mana would still be much better.

BUT, if they release a few extremely strong dragons, this could all change. So far it seems unlikely you can build full on dragon decks, though, which this card badly needs.

Dragon's Breath could have decent usefulness against boards that flood a lot (pallys, shamans, zoolock (even though zoolock is not as popular nowadays)). Flamestrike/Blizzard for 7/6 mana (to clear a board of say like 3-4 minions) and finishes off a minion that survives it with the Dragon's Breath. I can see it get some play with decks like Freeze Mage or something, imo.

The other card. Hmmm, a fire elemental that's one mana less and 1/1 stats less. Depending on how frequent one holds a dragon, it may be useful.

Dragon's Breath just isn't good enough to warrant a spot in any current mage archetype.

The most likely scenario, imo, for dragon's breath (like in arena or w/e) is you trade a minion for another minion, and it's a 4 damage spell for 3. That's OK, but nothing special.

Artwork on dragons breath is sick tho

Corruptor just eats shredders for lunch too. I have to imagine we are going to see a few new dragons - the hold mechanic is entirely dependent on it.

I'd guess this will cause yeti/mech yeti to rise in popularity again.

I'm guessing there might be some big vanilla dragon. All the 5+ dragons are legendaries so without some larger addition it would be awkward for new players to get the same type of dragon deck as older players.

I hope that one of the effects of brm is that the meta will slow down. With the "hold dragon" mechanic you might be able to include cards like Ysera and they will activate all those effects, rather than just be dead weight until turn 9.

Also are all these conditional cards making the game more skill-dependent? The better players will be able to get more value out of the more complex cards. I wonder if they are just making more complex cards as a way to stave off power creep as long as possible.

This version of Dragon's Breath was shown on the Kinguin stream yesterday:

The casters talked about it as if it was the correct version though.

Yeah, if you thought Kill Command was bad...

It could be that that is a version of it that one of the bosses in the adventure uses or something like that.

I like the original version. It would give Mages some finishing power.

is this sarcasm?

mages already have some of the sickest finishing combos.

It gives that Frostbolt, Frostbolt, Ice Lance, Ice Lance, Fireball combo a little more reach. Swap out the Fireball with Dragon's Breath. If you've got an Azure Drake on the board you don't have to worry about those pesky opponents healing up to full health.

But I'm also in agreement with Blizzard that killing people at full or near full health is bad for the game.

Apparently, the KR server was telling people that the first wing BRM would be available on April 3rd at 6 pm (which is April 2nd at 2 pm PDT). Blizzard took that note down, so this may not be accurate.

Yeah, that version almost assuredly boss only. 4 mana 10 damage is just obscene.

No way in **** they have a 4 mana deal 10 damage card that you can have 2 of in your deck.
