The anticipation is killing me...I'm afraid my run to legend is going to stall with me trying to blaze through this potential adventure mode. I also don't want to fall too far behind the meta haha

Can't wait for this. I just spent a bunch of real money on packs to round off my collection. Now I'm building up gold to get this for "free". How much gold did it take to get Naxx?

What I'm expecting:

-Some kind of new co-op mode.
-Awesome adventures!
-And some meta breaking defensive cards! (plsssssss)

700 coins * 5 bosses so 3500 coins.

Wow so that PR they did talking about inviting your friends really threw me off.

Already have 500+ gold, so I'm prolly good if it comes out in April.

I bought Naxx with gold but I think I'll end up paying real money for the new Adventure. Hearthstone as a whole has been such a quality product that I'm more than happy to give something back. Plus that way I don't have to worry about the temptation to buy a bunch of packs that gold-saving brings.

I hope that's 5k gold and not $5k ;-)

I have 1700 gold saved up and have been purposely not spending it because of the expansion. But is it really going to be released soon? Naxx was released in July.

Gold of course.

UG another expansion already? I quit in December because I felt GnG was way too early. It's rough for a casual player to keep up.

I hope the first wing is free again. I barely missed the free period from Naxx and had to grind the gold for all 5 wings.

I doubt it will be that soon. People forget how long we played with the first set if you include the open beta. Pushing new cards too fast is going to alienate the casual players that will not spend a fortune but still spend enough to make it worthwhile to keep them around.

It'll be this month or early April.

Should be talking about this today at PAX?

Yeah, the blizz presentation started 30 mins ago. I just tuned in and they are talking about HotS. I can't find anything on twitter so far so I don't think they've mentioned blackrock yet.

I think that's the plan: to make an announcement of the next Hearthstone installment at PAX.

I don't think it will be all that long between the announcement and the release, maybe 2 months. GvG came out pretty quickly after they announced it at Blizzcon. The dust was settling from Naxx coming out and they dumped a huge new set to mix everything up again. It was a much larger collection so they will have some more time before things start to feel stagnant with GvG. If they make the announcement today and then release the new adventure in May, that will be ~6 months between a big set and a smaller set which seems like a reasonable amount of time. If people want to save up gold they'll have plenty of time to do so.

I like the cycle of Adventure, Expansion, Adventure as well. Arena should still be rewarding GvG packs even after the adventure comes out, so people shouldn't feel like they haven't had enough of a chance to round out their collections like they might if a whole new pack option was put in to the game.

It's possible arena will go back to basic packs after the release of blackrock. I really wish they would just award pack vouchers or something like that.

Seems terrible to me. Need 7 mana, a dragon in hand, and your opponent to have a legendary in play, and then you get a pretty terrible body on board. That's too many conditions to make it good.

from the trailer you can see a 3 mana 8/4 dragon, and a 5 mana 10/2
