Beginners - Page 8 - Hearthstone -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

After many hours of looking for buget priest deck I still can't find a deck that I have all cards for. I'll post few screens of my collection, I would be really thankful to someone who can help me finish this deck. I also have 2x Dark Cultist and 2x Ressurect. Posting picture of neutral minions is a bit to messy, I will write some non basics that I have and might be relevant to priest:

I would put in Light Bomb and Light of the Naaru in your deck. You could also craft one more Velens. You should also be running those Holy Champions in that deck.

I think Kel Thuzad is an odd choice for control priest.

been using this Mage deck which is basically just Sheng's Naxx + basic deck with knife jugglers in place of acidic swamp ooze.http://hearthstoneplayers.com/basic-naxxramas-mage/

One change I am considering making is piloted shredder for water elemental, but not sure if +1 attack -3 health and the loss of the freezing power is worth also getting a random 2 drop.

I have 155 dust at the moment for improvements. I would like to maybe find better 1 or 2 drops to replace zombie chow that still help establish early board control but can still be played late in a close game. Any suggestions?

Mana Wyrm is always a good option--not that great late but awesome early and can easily get out of control. Snow Chugger and Sorcerer's are also good cheap early options. You should really craft Piloted Shredder. It's the best early drop in the game and arguably best card in he game and a common card.

So I've played with piloted shredder for the past day and I really can't understand why people are so hyped about this card that it is in the majority of decks I see @ level 18? There are better 4 mana options available. If summoned minions triggered their battlecries It would be great, but they don't and I don't think pulling a random vanilla minion is worth playing it over other cards. I could also see playing it in a mech-heavy deck but in the beginners deck I am using I think there are better options

The hype for shredder is stat wise it is a very healthy 4 drop. But even if it is killed off you still retain some board presence or you make the other person expend more of their resources that turn.

The reason they are strong is because your opponents have trouble removing both minions (the Shredder, and the 2 drop). If they only kill the first half, you'll have some kind of board left for your turn, and any kind of board presence is huge in this game. If they don't kill the first half, it'll trade with essentially all 1-3 drops. 4 attack on a 4 drop is really strong. Then when you trade it off, you still have a threat left. Add the average stats together and it's like a 6/5.

Anytime you have to split damage the minion artificially has more health bc its typically difficult to efficiently kill both shells. The unknown favtor of what pops out is also massive. Often shredder is a pure 2 for 1 for this reason. Such a good minion it has an argument for being in almost any deck. Only boom can match that.

What's best play for the money? Should I just buy packs, or buy LoE and save the money for arena/packs? Highest priorities are acquiring cards and dust. I have no TGT or GVG cards.

Packs imo.

Classic > GvG > TGT in terms of card importance. Though Naxx is better value than packs if you don't have it.

Would never use $$ for arenas.

The adventures are a lot cheaper if you by them with real money compared to packs and arena

loe gets 155 gold/€ while arena is 85 and packs range from 74-95

The only real reason to keep a golden card when you already have 2 of the regular card is because they look cool. So I keep golden versions of cards I use a lot. E.g., I kept my golden BGH. But I'm not going to keep a golden Eye for an Eye.
