April Constructed Thread - Hearthstone -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

Blackrock Mountain is here on April 2nd. People are expecting the meta to slow down with its release, although hunters get first crack at it for some reason with quick shot.

Should be an entertaining month with plenty of new decks popping up left and right. GL to all on the grind to legend.

Just beat Justsaiyan's Golden Warrior in Rank 16 with my handmade Imp Master - Violet Teacher Token Druid deck. He was running an aggressive build with Frothing Berserkers, Arcanite, etc, so I'm sure he was just experimenting at the beginning of the season, but still pretty cool way to start things off

I'm gonna try running Druid up to Rank 5 to close in on 500 wins and probably Priest from there. See how things go.

Normally don't really put in a ton of Ladder volume, but a month where the meta is gonna shift every week and you'll have new cards to build around? Count me in. Gl bros

apparently this is a new thing with the update, but it said making legend puts you in the top 0.25% of players. About 2K legends means there are around 800K active players

so is watch and learn for a pack just going into the regular quest cycle? i thought it was a special one-time thing with the update like the "play a ranked game" quests you get when you first install the game

good luck everyone. i made a push ~all day yesterday for top 100 and kept losing. Just habitually picked the wrong matchup. when i was priest, i fought rogue. when i was warrior, i fought druid, paladin fought hunter, and out of desperation i even tried hunter. and i fought warriors.

just sucks.

Has anyone been running into that dbl shadow word death/pain, dbl nova, dbl lightbomb, dbl holy fire, dbl antique healbot deck?

I think it sucks but it's so annoying.

Ima try and revamp my demonlock deck so it's more than a flip vs face hunter. It's been a slight favorite vs tempo mage for me, and it destroys mech mage although they've really dropped off the map. It's a bummer cause it was 90%+ vs them.

If I find something I like I'll share it here.

Switched to single combo druid and ripped off a ton of wins. Really strong deck.

^put in Emperor Thaurissian and it gets even stronger.

I was able to KotG Silence a Belcher for 3 mana, then still have enough to FoN for 5, Innervate and Swipe for a 10 dmg lethal. Normally that's 14 mana and since it became 12 it was doable?

Yeah I can see Druid being extremely powerful this week.

Nearly just got rekt by a Rogue who played GANG UP on his Loatheb. Playing as a Druid against FOUR Loathebs can be pretty insane. It's almost like Echo of Medivh for Rogues.

The very first game I played today after BRM had come out was against a face hunter that pulled off two empty handed quickshots. I still won the game but only because he was not very good at topdecking skill command.

First deck I'm trying is Grim Patron + Warsong Commander + Frothing. First win was against a rogue, good times! (Added 2x inner rage and 2x worgen for extra finishers)

I cut the wolfriders. I figured it's the same amount of damage for 1 less mana, plus you want lower mana cost to dump hand and get the draw effect.

I dunno, haven't played any constructed since I got the cards. Just was playing the normal then heroic. But I made that change to the deck, I probably will actually test it later. Just seems like the natural inclusion to me though
