Indeed. Already got a big limit rotation in mind. Thinking LHE, O/8, 2-7 TD, Pineapple for the inaugural game. $.50/$1 with $1/$2 overs for the degens. That'll be the first game, with my friends who usually play for $20-$30. Got big ideas for the summer... I'll discuss with you offline.

Quantities:

5c x100
25c x300
$1 x260
$5 x140
$25 x100
$100 x100

Hmmmm... seems as if you have too many hundos, based on your planned games.

Are you thinking NL/PL sometimes, as well? My games usually are $2/4l, $120NL and it's been a long while since I needed a black chip.

Only reason we got 100 hundos (and 100 greens, for that matter) is because I have heard rumors that ASM might go under this year if they don't get things turned around (which they are actively trying to do). Thus, if this 1000 chip order is the only order I will ever be able to get in (ever ever), this could last for that long. We originally planned to get 600 in the first order with no hundos but the quantity was increased and the hundos were added to accommodate the worst case.

The other reason we got 100 of each is that ASM changed the minimum quantity per chip mockup to 100.

I highly doubt the hundos will legitimately see the table in the next ten years, but at least we can say that we have them.

As for NL/PL, I would love to mix in big bet games, but my current group dynamic can't sustain (BR) playing them. Most players usually only come with one $20-$30 buy-in, I don't want to play 5c/10c NL, and I don't want them to bust out and just sit there. Once I'm stationed at Fort Lee, VA and then Fort Hood, TX in the coming months, I'll try to get a local game going that would be bigger, thinking something like $1/$2 to $2/$4 limit, 25c/50c no limit. Obviously I'll be buying oodles of my Cubs $1 chips in the future if I can get a sustained $2/$4 or even $3/$6 limit game going. Or maybe I'll just make a 50c chip for the $2/$4 game and buy 1000 of them =)

Thanks abby! I'll be looking to have some 2p2ers down for games in the summer (I'm 15 minutes south of jz, I-55 and IL-126). I'll let you know!

The grand reveal of The Windy City Bar & Poker Room! Graduating from West Point, buying a car, signing a lease, moving back from New York, and vacation has kept my boyfriend and I from actually getting these pictures taken. He is an amateur photographer with some awesome equipment; today we finally got around to taking some good pictures.

The Portillos 5c

The Bears 25c

The Cubs $1

The Blackhawks $5

The St. Patrick's Day $25

The White Sox $100

The botched 25c chips - the Bears 25c was originally made with the $1 inlay. We caught the error when Michael sent us a preview image via e-mail a week before they were shipped. He made the correct 25c chips the very next day and gave us the botched chips for next to nothing.

Pictures from Opening Night

After Opening Night - all of the chips on the table were in play.

They came out great. The Cubs $1 and Blackhawks $5 are the best. Even the error chip is cool.

Congrats!

If you get any limit games going and have a seat open let me know. Its hard to find limit games w/out going to Hammond and waiting hours for a 3/6 seat to open.

Add on batch is in. Brings us to

100x .05
580x .25
600x 1
500x 5
100x 25
100x 100

Old versus new-theyre not intermingled yet but they will be when tonights 3/6 o/8 kicks off. Waiting for then before I mix the two because I want to see how quickly they spread.

I love how much more blue is on the new $1s. Ive always felt that the original ones didn't have enough blue and were crowded by all four spots. The two spots on the new one give that much more blue that makes me so much more excited about the chips, especially when they're stacked. Looking at a stack of the new ones legitimately makes me think of the cubs C logo (look at my bed sheet foe reference Lol).

New fives vs old fives. Obviously the flash exacerbates the chalkiness of the old chips, but still a noticeable difference between new and chips that were oiled through use.

Here's to extending my seven session win streak...

So the add-on are the CPC variety... and your originals were ASM-Vegas with Michael. How does the quality compare... they look great from here. Beautiful set.

That is one dang nice set of chips. Too bad you couldn't spring for decent quantities.

Those chips are very nice . . . love the 1s and the 5s, and that is saying something as I generally dislike the edge spot used on your "Cubs" chip. but on your set, it works.

Ooh, they turned out great.

So, are you going to do a 3V12 for your second add-on?

I'm really looking forward to playing with these chips and am happy that they arrived in time. GL and enjoy your game tonight.

From what ive seen, key differences are:

CPC chips are slightly thicker
Colors the same
Quality is about equal to ASM Vegas

thanks! Unfortunately having the $5s on the table last night did not help because the blackhawks lost.

Haha, I didn't think about a 3v12. If anything I was thinking about 1v12 because that would sort of resemble the cubs 'c' logo. Im excited to bring the chips for next Saturday despite Adrian rolling his eyes at me bringing them...

Posting the game results in the open thread.
