My company has a product idea that introduces a mondernized, high-end poker set that takes the standard poker set and adds a magnetic lining to the channels. Our chips are made from a light metal, which will attract with the channels, and allow for the chips to calmly slide down into their respective channels. This takes care of any frustration with the clean up process, and the chances of chips getting stuck at awkward angles in the channels.

For a more expensive price, would this be something that seems interesting and attractive to you guys? Would you like to see something like this come to market?

I think you are solving a problem that likely does not exist in any large measure. Then again, I know nothing about the market for high-end poker chip sets. This might be a selling point for that market,

What does your company do presently, make poker chip sets, sell poker chip sets, make magnetic rings ?

Do you have a patent pending ?

We are currently building the prototype. We are a startup so this is our first product. Patent pending

Dont you guys think that its time for the standard poker set to get an upgrade?

Who said this would be an upgrade? It might be a good thing, or it might not. It is not as though we have more than a vague idea what this new product would look like or actually do.

My first blush impression is the product is a solution in search of a problem. It will take a lot of persuasion to convince me to ditch my vintage casino chips in favor of something "better".

In some ways I am not your target market. But the fact I spend thousands of dollars a year on poker chip certainly makes me able to afford this if it seems worthwhile.
