Lets say you find an underground home game wich is really good value, basically all fish no pro. But, it got a 5 % uncapped rake, can it be beaten at all, and if it is, what would be the optimal strategy to do so ?

Of course it can be beaten, so long as the skill gap between you and the rest of the table is high enough. I see no need to craft a special strategy, just out play the rest of the table.

the highest BB/100 you can possibly achieve. Since the rake is uncapped it doesn't matter if you are winning many small pots or just a few big pots. It is all getting juiced the same.

I would suggest try to lose as many pots as possible to avoid getting raked

I would suggest not going, so you don't give support to these bloodleeching games. Let someone with more reasonableness host, instead.

you certainly want to reduce variance. Entering a lot of big pots to win slightly more than your share has you paying more rake than entering a few small pots and winning all of them, even if the pre-rake EV is the same.

He said this was na underground game, not a home game.

These guys running underground games take on substantial risk which very well may justify a higher rake.

Uncapped? If there's THAT much risk, maybe they should find another venue.... or livelihood.

There is a lot of risk in underground games. The threat od robberies, criminal prosecution, and costs associated with lending/staking players that you will never get back.

Being a criminal has many disadvantages, therefore you have to charge more for your services.

More than what? The rest of the underground game? Those are run by criminals as well and the vast majority of games are not uncapped rake. Why not rake 80% of the pot for these hard working criminals? Because it is way too much. There is a line somewhere along the way where rake becomes too much. Uncapped rake is definitely beyond it. A regular rate of rake is more than enough reward for the risks of running a game.
