Would there be any way to set up these games for money, but no money to be exchanged at the time of the game? I do not want to get in trouble with the university. My first thought would to have people "register" beforehand and pay their buy in before the game starts like maybe a day in advance, and then I would cash them out after the game ends (would use venmo). That way I can keep it a controlled environment without any randoms showing up.
Does anyone else have any ideas/suggestion?
Would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Hypothetically speaking We "had"
"tournaments with a first place prize of educational books related to statistics, or poker. You had the option of contributing money to the club. It was understood that you would get a prize "payout" if you contributed based on your finish. If anyone said it involved "gambling"we denied it.
