As an alternative....I just made my own table topper. It turned out to be really cheap and easy. I haven't added a rail yet, but plan to in the future.
I bought a 4x8 sheet of 1/2" plywood at home depot, cut there to have it fit my existing table dimensions (it can be 1/2" thin because it's sitting on a table already and you don't need to worry about warping).
I bought 2.5 yds of this foam for the padding:

I already had a staple gun and staples which you will need.
My total was about $110 and took a weekend morning to make. I glued the extra foam on the bottom of the topper to protect the table underneath and even it out. Works like a charm. Check out the photos below:
