I'm not suggesting that. I agree with you. As this game is described, thinking appears to be quite one-dimensional, including the OP
I'm saying that: If your pre-flop raise regiment consists of opening for 3xBB,
and you'd prefer to stick with a formula rather than make more reactive informed decisions, adopting a formula that accounts for limpers (like (3xBB+(1XBB-per-limper)) does) is at least a step in the right direction.

IF you need a formula
AND you're going to stick with a formula, at least modify your formula a bit
It was a direct response to the thought that once half the table limps: 3xBB is just a pot sweetener, not a "raise." Adopting (3xBB+(1XBB-per-limper)) no matter how sub-optimal it is at least makes your bet mean something.
