I believe this is correct.

I ordered my Venerati's from Sidepot not too long ago. Very good experience, very quick standard shipping too (ordered Sunday night, had the chips in time for Thursday's game). I was blown away by the quality of the Protege line, and I've heard nothing but good things about these chips on Chiptalk.

I have a few old Casino de Isthmus City chips, and the linen finish inserts are awesome. But I would not say the Pharaohs feel like labels.

And hey, I don't own any of those purple chips, but I like them. Chip color schemes can be all matchy-earth-toned or they can be eye-popping garish. It's all good, to me.

On sidepot - thought this recent thread from chiptalk was worth mentioning. Seems there have been a few cases of people with bad experiences ordering from sidepot.

http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/poker-...periences.html

Case in point: someone ordered chips, was charged in full, and when the package arrived noticed the $5's he ordered weren't shipped. A hand written note was added to the package saying the chips were on back order.

After that a few others chimed in with some other negative experiences.

This quote pretty much summarizes the opinions expressed in this thread:

Customer Service is NOT Sidepot's strength. I wouldn't say that they are difficult to deal with, I will say that when an order is placed with them, you are lucky if it goes smooth. I have placed a number of orders, and most of them had issues.

I played in a home cash game last night and someone asked the host about the chips. He said a friend got them for him from some huge poker warehouse in Vegas. I have been to Spinetti's and Gambler's and since I do not consider either one huge, I was wondering if there is another poker supply place in Vegas that would fit the description of a "huge poker warehouse."

I'm not aware of anyone bigger than Spinetti's or Gambler's in Vegas. Your best bet is to just find an online retailer. I recently bought a chip set from https://www.pokerchipkings.com/. They have a big selection and you can order individual chips in rolls of 25.
