Poker chip set with 25 cent denom's - Page 2 - Home Poker Games

I've been using these for a couple years in my home game. We used to alternate locations, and alternate chips, between these and Paulsons. I slightly prefer the Paulsons, but these chips are a GREAT value. They have a ChipCo sort of feel to them, are plenty durable, and stack well (at least up to 20.)

The Nevada Jacks are a somewhat Chipco-like chip. The differences between them and other ceramics I have used is that they have super-sharp edges, and a surface that I can only describe as being like a fine metal file. This surface does help them stack nicely, but it's not like any other chip I've seen.

Get samples if you are not sure.

That's just cause I'm not of legal age to participate in casino events, so all I've experienced are sh*tty Wal-Mart sets and anything ordered offline.

I have 200 -.25 Neveda Jack chip that I'm selling. I paid .45 cent each willing to let them go for .25cent each. Used them for like 6 months no chip or dirt on them, they look like new. They are ceramic sound real good better than some other so called ceramic I've seen. pm if your interested we can make arrangements.

My main reason for not wanting them was because I wanted to have a set with a 25c & 50c denomination (for if the crowd would rather play 25/50 or 50/1) but I had just realized I could just switch it up and have the blue equal the small blind..

One thing we do with the Nevada Jacks is, our set has denominations of $25 -> $1000, and when we play cash we use the dollar amount / 100 - so a $25 chip is a quarter, up to $1000 chip being $10. If I had my druthers I'd have a seperate cash set or lower denominations, but if you can't find a set you like with the denominations you want, something like this works.

It's a matter of taste. Those are not much better than Walmart chips. Compare those prices.

I got a sample I like them, they got a good casino feel to them. They also look like a casino chip instead of a home game chip like most of the so called clay chips

That's.. interesting O_o on the complete contrary, I searched King's Casino on chiptalk and they said they hated them. King's were my first choice, before I posted this thread, because I really liked the tri-color design.

I have a sample set of these, and they are horrid. They're made of hard, slippery plastic, so stacks are extremely unstable. I don't like the look, sound, or feel of these chips, and you can get much better for a few pennies more per chip.

These are just standard issue injection molded chips with a slug in the center. Plastic feel. Much heavier than casino chips.

There are thousands of chips of this design and manufacture, differentiated only by the sticker in the middle. I like the stickers on these more than some. More than, say, the ones with the dog photos, or the ones with president's faces.

But if you like them, go for it. It's all about what you like. But unless you've bought samples of several chips, it is hard for you to know what you like.

I agree not everyone is happy with the same chips. I'm happy with the eclipse models and happen to like the kings casino model. But most places will send you samples so take your time and get what you like . Price had a lot to do with my decision as well. I needed 1000 chips and got them for about 167 shipped.

The weight is nice. They only problem I have with my tournament set, is that the blacks and purples blend somewhat in low lighting, hard to distinguish.
