An excellent assortment of pizzas, including a new one: sweet chili and grilled chicken. Wow. Four pizzas for 8 players, so plenty of food.
Sounds like a feast!

I ran hot, cold, then hot. Went from $40 to about $80, then was card dead forever. Had to fold a couple of made hands where I thought I was no good. Whittled down to about $45 when things turned around.
Like flopping quad kings in PLO8
Déjà vu!
(Talk about hearing an echo... except I was on the other end of the slow played quad kings).

I played in our standard cash game last night. Only 8 players this week.
You play PLO8? I like that game.
However, I think there's a problem with PLO8. The problem, I think, is the game is generally unsustainable because the good players beat the crap out of the poor players too quickly.
It has been several years, but I still remember losing a huge pot to slow played quad kings.
My hand: A
A
5
2
Flop, turn, river, K
A
4
,K
,9
Villain's hand: K
3
K
2
I didn't get check/raised on the river, but only because I managed to get most of my money in the pot on the turn after my opponent checked... (when he checked the turn, I thought perhaps he had the nut low draw and I wanted to charge him for it).
At the time, I reasoned the only hand that could beat me was quad kings, but from my perspective kings full of aces was twice as likely (crudely two ways for an ace plus a king, and only one way for two kings:
• K
K
YZ
• K
A
YZ
• K
A
YZ)
(A puzzlement to me at the time was Villain would not likely have check/called on the turn with kings full of aces. Still, I was not about to fold aces full to his river bet).

while in the BB. I check-call a $4 bet from the button on the KKQ flop, then $8 on the J turn. The river brings 3 to a flush. I do something I rarely do. I check the river with quads, praying she will bet again. She bets $10. I raise to $30. She never believes I have anything, so she calls with a Q high flush.
The very next hand I flop the nut flush with As4sXX and a T53 board. In the SB now, I do it all over again vs the same player. Check-call. Turn is a 7, giving me the second nut low, which I check-call. The river I check-raise. She calls again, hoping to back into the low with an 82, but it is a scoop for me.
You check raised her and cleaned her plow twice in succession on big pots? Ouch! (I wouldn't do that because I would fear that would be too much for her to bear... but you know your customers better than I do).
I enjoy reading your posts. Take care.
