Hello all... Finally got the latest one out. Pix aren't the best as I'm stuck using my iPhone still, but you get the idea. Did a custom cloth, and a pullout chip drawer. I like this one quite a bit. Didn't get the best lighting since its in a temporary location at customers place.... Anyway, enjoy!

Table looks great and matches his wood floor beautifully. The chip tray looks great too. Lets hope he has better luck than Gil from the Simpsons.

VERY NICE!

Isn't 60" a bit big for a round table? Is this for seating 9 players? I counted 8 cup holders and I was under the impression 54"-56" was sufficient for 8 players.

Wow, very very nice.

I like the rules embedded in the betting line; haven't seen that before. Nice touch.

Slidey, in what state are you located? Am on the West Coast (WA) myself (or soon will be). I'd be willing to drive a good bit to pick up a sweet table like this if we can work something out.

How the f*** did you pick that up? I had to click on the image to enlarge it and even then could barely make out the writing. Nice attention to detail

Btw, I think slidey is from California but I don't remember which part. Seeing as it's a big state that could make quite a difference. Guess I wasn't much help here huh? Best let the man answer himself.

aside from the racetrack and cupholders in it (not a fan), it's beautiful!

Lol, I'm certainly not immune to the annoyances of getting older, but gradually deteriorating eyesight thus far hasn't been one of them (knock on wood). In fact, my vision tests better now than it did it my early 20's. I'd qualify today (vision-wise) to be an aviator, I didn't at the time I entered the Navy.

I'd plan a longer a roadtrip for it and hit some of the Cali rooms along the way. I've never played in the Bay area. I know all the San Diego area rooms and have been to a couple of the LA rooms (Commerce & Pechanga). I'd look at it as an opportunity to check out Bay 101 and Bike/Hollywood.

Of course...Mrs Hoss has veto power over this scheme...lol...

Well done. At some point I'm going to build a custom table, I hope it comes out as good as this one.

Thanks for all the compliments guys.. I like this one a lot too, the design came out pretty cool for the cloth. Hoss, I am located in SoCal, and would be more than happy to work with you on something. Not sure of what I can and can't put in here, but PM me and I'll link you up with my website and we can talk more. The Bike is my preferred casino, so I'd be happy to play tour guide for a night.

Lanyi: 60" was a big sucker, with the racetrack option he wanted 8 cups was all I could for without crowding player space. As always it's just giving the customer what they want.

This is about perfect.

Do you have a feel for how many could play around it? I hope 10 could fit just about as well as around an oval table.

The 60" round we use is almost impossible to use with 10 players 9 is snug.

I LOVE that table. One question, any counterweight needed for the chip tray? also, how many chips does it hold? Looks like somewhere between 500 - 1000.

Yeah 10 would probably be tight... As far as other questions: the tray was glued down and anchored with a couple small screws into the drawer. I built the drawer and the housing with heavy weight bearing slides so it is very sturdy.

Oh also the tray holds 350 chips with two slots for quarters. Not a lot of capacity but there is not a lot of space to put in anything bigger.

That table looks really nice. Everyone is saying 9 on that 60" table would be snug. Snug as in uncomfortable or just shoulder to shoulder and could handle a level or two until someone gets eliminated? Thanks for the answers. I am looking for my next table and my basement would be best for a round but, I need to hold 9 players. My other table is an octogon and 8 is the max. Thanks again.

You can play 9 handed for a while without issue. 8 is perfect 10 is too tight

I had to look up "red boarding", but still don't quite know what it means. No talking about how people played their hand?

I honestly have no idea. They were phrases from the customer, the other 3 are obvious. I was thinking maybe it has something to do with red $5 chips?

Quick google search.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=redboard

Sounds like it originated from the horse racing world. I'm not 100% sure how it applies to poker, but I guess redboarding is when people say stuff like "I knew you had AK" after the hand is over

Thanks for the answer to my question. I am really considering the round instead of the regular style poker table.

Round is wonderful for self-dealt games. Ovals are ok to deal from the center, but awful from the ends. Rounds are also nice for a social game because everyone has a better view of everyone else.

Nice looking table.(not fond of wooden racetracks) Have you made any round tables with cloth racetracks? I've seen a couple and kind of like the look.
