HPI 2014: Orlando! - Page 3 - Home Poker Games

I enjoyed meeting everyone last year at Pali's here in Phoenix. Unfortunately I have other family commitments this summer and can't really squeeze in another trip. I trust there will be excellent tourney reports.
Speaking of pali, anyone know what happened to him- I haven't seen him in months and never did find out if he ever put up the video recordings of last year's HPI main event.

Would still love to watch moments like...

Hard to believe that was 8 months ago! Seems like yesterday. So many good times had. Hopefully Pali will be able to continue to be one of the people with a 100% attendance record and make it for 14.

Also now that CPC is up and running. Any thoughts to a commemorative chip?

Last I talked to Pali was the end of October. He was doing fine, just busy working. Between a long commute and 2+2 being blocked at the new job, he just didn't have time to get online.

He said he was still interested in coming down this summer. I'll ping him and see if that's still true.

Let's talk food.

For Thursday night's limit game/beerfest/screening, I'll probably cook something easy like pulled pork sandwiches for dinner. We can also order pizza later if that runs out, but I'll make plenty.

I figure we'll be out and about on Friday so we'll probably just stop somewhere local for lunch. I'll be ordering dinner in on Friday, get sandwiches and stuff for Saturday lunch, and then order dinner in for Saturday night.

I'm probably going to get 4 Rivers BBQ one night - it's the best BBQ in Orlando hands down. I'm not sure what to do the other night, so I'm open to suggestions.

Looks like my buddy Jason will definitely be joining me on the trip. This has the added benefit of him traveling a lot for work and having more Starwoods reward points than he can spend, so the hotel is covered.

The current plan is to be down there starting Thursday, but that's contingent on my wife being able to swap her Thursday and Friday shifts. But she's confident she can with this much lead time.
