Yes, gaming suede is definitely the best. I contemplated going that route but the cost is very high and being my first table build I was worried about not getting the print centered or screwing something else up.
Nylon velvet speed cloth does take some getting used to pitching cards because it does have a small nap to one side that grabs cards. But the feel is much closer to gaming suede than suited cloth.
Before I bought the nylon velvet I had installed some suited speed cloth and immediately tore all the staples out. That stuff is horrid and so rough on the finger tips. Cards glide great and if you have a lot of people constantly spilling drinks on your table then I guess go that route but I hated it.
