To counter this you need to apply the 'card pro-picker' technique... bury your index up the knuckle, remove said buggage, place on top of card. Instatly say 'well at least it doesnt smell bad and you cant get pink eye from it since it doesnt contain airborn fecal remanants. Works 70% of the time every time.

I have no idea why I even read this thread. However, after seeing this, I can't believe no one commented on it. "Lactate intolerant", really? Lactate is not the passive tense for lactose. I can just imagine this guy having his lactation problem at the table, lol.

We're adults, but the "solution" has been posted already.

Most farts are harmless "oops" sort of situations. Get a grip and laugh it off. Some people, however, are capable of producing repeated unpleasant and uncomfortable gas (as a result of bad luck, diet or hygiene). Take that person aside like an adult and ask them to excuse themselves for a few minutes.

He actually imposed a rule on himself, and no one disagreed. During a cash game, if he rips a nasty fart, he pays a small blind penalty into the pot.

It caught on, and now if anybody rips a stinker they contribute a small blind into the current pot (or seed the upcoming pot if in between hands.)

Has it helped? Hell no.... but it makes it more tolerable.
