Once your KEM's warp, is there anything you can do to flatten them out?

<sigh>

I really want to like bridge-size cards, because the selection available is just so much better. But poker-size just feels so much better in my hands, and the bridge-size setups that I have feel tiny by comparison.

That was my first reaction, too. But after a few games they feel fine, and the poker size feel a little broad.

Of course, who doesn't like feeling a little broad?

<rim shot>

Then again, I'm not holding them with two catcher's mitts.

Yeah, when you're used to poker size, bridge looks almost like novelty cards. But for me bridge is easier to shuffle and deal (the proper way), easier to spread on small tables, and just more versatile all around. I have pretty big hands, but not sausage fingers.

I have mostly poker-sized, because vendors often use up the bridge-size stock first, and sell poker-size on closeout for about 1/2 the price

FYP

And considering my size, I really don't have big meathooks. I suppose I just need to order a few bridge-sized setups and come over to the Dark Side.

Jumbo pip bridge size are a good compromise, you have big pips for easy ID from the ends of the table and the comfort of a smaller deck to shuffle. I used to be a "poker-size or nothing" guy but have since come around. It's also a plus when using some of the stiffer cards such as DalNegro & Modiano since they shuffle easier w/ bridge size.

Come with us, Schmendrick. Come with us, and we can play forever and ever and ever.

Bridge does not sound like the dark side, actually. Poker, maybe. Not Bridge.

The thing I don't like about those is that you have to peel up more of the cards to look at them.

Just when I got over the shock of Schmendr1ck's size, then eneely admits to being 6'4". I'm starting to feel like a dwarf.

One of the reasons I really like Modiano Poker Club is the "Large Index"; it's bigger than Standard but smaller than Jumbo (aka Blackjack). It's a fantastic compromise which I've also seen in Desjgn and Fournier PartyPoker cards.

While eneely is an easy target, I was being honest this time.

An, so that's the brand. I dig those, too. At least, I think so. I feel like I've played with them, but if not, I like them in theory.

I keep trying new cards, yet I keep coming back to these. I have a set of bridge size that I accidentally ordered and didn't bother to return. I might be able to get used to them, but they feel so...small.

Syphilis... It all started with a simple kiss...

(I should probably quit there before we get into the bridge, which is a little on the vulgar side.)
