I love divots in my kitchen table.

Yeah, I'd rather use those inexpensive heavy plastic spring clamps. Easy on/off, and the rubber tips don't scratch anything.

Not if you plan the overlap properly- and I meant file clamps, not C-clamps. My bad..... no dings.

Not a bad idea, if they grip firmly enough.

Bump - brought the tabletop to a friends place 30 min away for the superbowl. Worked out perfect. These things are so light/portable, highly recommended for anyone without space for a full table.

What makes you say that? Just curious as I've been pretty happy with it.

I think he is talking specifically about the lines on both ends of the table. They seem deep, even from the photo. Since you own one, are they deep at all? Cause any problems with cards flipping or getting stuck?

I haven't had any issues, although one side has gotten a bit looser, meaning that when I set the table down i have to make sure that no fabric is getting pushed up at the line. Hard to explain, but when i put the table down i gently pull it on each end, make sure the felt is sitting nicely in the seam, and push tight together again. I've never had any issues with cards flipping.
