Lots of good advice from some of our all time great posters ITT. Glad to see OP thinking about some of the points raised.

I've got a different style for when I play in our home game, and when I'm at the casino. Heck, I think most decent players will adjust to the particular table dynamics. That being said, it's tough to provide general advice that you can use all the time.

Go read some of the strategy/concept threads in the live poker forums here. I think there is a profit if you can start to isolate some of the looser players, and if your bankroll can absorb the swings, it sounds like there are at least a few +EV spots where you can get it all-in ahead of Villain's range.

For most players, the change in stakes will take at least a little time to adjust. Yes, ultimately they are just chips and decisions should be made without regard to stakes.

Good luck, check back and let us know how it goes.

I agree there has been some incredible advice. I play golf at a high level and often go to forums for golf. I find it refreshing how some great poker players are giving non ego driven advice and being respectful all the while giving constructive criticism.

I played this game twice since I last posted. One game was very profitable the other I was stuck early but grinded back instead of making a dumb all in or loose calls. I am starting to feel comfortable and have several more buyins than where I started. Comfort is so important it seems. I believe I can be profitable here and I am even in a run good phase. I didnt get aces kings of queens in the last session once and did well.

Again- I am humbled and will keep my new friends posted and am thankful.

I have played the game 6 times since I last posted. I have won in 5 of the last 6 games. Lots of name pros have come and gone.

I am up a pretty good amount and am humbled with how much I am learning. Lots of really great guys in the game and the professionals are all very cool and willing to share information.

I am playing in the 5250 SHRPO this weekend, wish me luck!

Thank you for checking in!

Ended up winning this game over the course of 12 months. Quit my job and traveled the world. Now I am back playing a 10/25. Won first 4 of 5 cash sessions. One year away then 3 months of study and I am back playing at a higher level than ever because I made a lot of positive changes in my life with eating and also added meditation. Invaluable!!
