HBO LEAKED SPOILERS DISCUSSION (TV SHOW SPOILERS) HBO LEAKED SPOILERS DISCUSSION (TV SHOW SPOILERS)

Hey guys. I read the leaks and there's no real place to talk about them on 2+2, so I asked mods for permission to create this one, to talk the new leaks and upcoming ones when they are out.

E04 LEAKS:

This is shaping up to be one of the best GoT episodes EVER.
Can't wait for the Dany vs. Jaime scene.

Just watched episode 4. One of the best ever, but that might be just my giddy first impressions.

Putting spoilers in just incase.

Spoiler:
Arya vs Brienne awesome! Sansa bummed that she has no special power like Bran and Arya, and getting bum raped every night aint one

Thought Jon and Dany were actually gonna kiss.

Thought Littlefinger was gonna bite it, do we as a TV or Bookreader audience actually know who hired assassin to kill Bran? the books intimate that it was Joffrey, but I always assumed Littlefinger, so does he know? surely in his visions he would have sought the answer, so if it was why not tell Sansa/Arya. Maybe it was Cersei or Jamie just making sure. Even so Bran must know about Littlefingers sins?

Awesome finish, can I just say my heart was genuinely beating loud and fast when Drogon made that final turn for Bronn/scorpion, I think I knew it was OK when it hit Drogon's side but what a moment. Hard to tell with the grainy image if Lord Tarly bought it.

On a side note it looks like Cersei got the Gold right? as that went on ahead so she can pay off Iron Bank? I was thinking she might not pay and Iron Bank draughts in the faceless men to kill Cersei or maybe Arya somehow.

Now it's back to Cersei being ****ed. Looks like Jamie and Bronn have made it, obv Jamie not drowning. Tyrion gonna save them both from execution.

Last few episodes look like mopping up Cersei now and the beginning of the invasion of the dead.

I'm thinking the North will be lost and the survivors will evac south where Winter hasn't really come yet, or not so bad that the WW can go south just yet. Neatly setting up the last season for everyone vs WW.

I think she clearly didn't get the gold.

Not sure I saw complete ep. Had a time stamp on it and end had replay of some scenes.

Tarley said gold safe inside Kings Landing (I thought)

****ing amazing episode. Ridiculous.
Battle was insane. "I think we can hold the line" Oops, didn't count on the DRAGON.
Big spear action went down great. Dragon dying 1st battle would have been lolbad.

Loved Arya scenes.

Yeah the script has a lot more scenes.

About the gold, I don't remember that quote. Might be wrong tho

First thing Tarley says is gold safely through the gates at Kings Landing.

It's necessary to still give Lannisters skin in the game even though their army just got lol wtf bbqd.

The quality that my friend of a friend watched was low, was it Dickon who saved Jamie?
08-04-2017 , 08:16 PM
Dickon saved him.

Battle was great but once again they're pretty ridiculous with the time travelling. Dany finds out about the unsullied and by the end of the episode has her army on ships, across the water, marched past kings landing and met Jamie/Tarley.

Some discrepancies between the script and the episode. In the script they burn all the gold when Jaime is trying to save it. Also, in the script bronn tries a lot more to hit Danny and misses a lot while drogon is doing barrel rolls.

Guessing either the banks gold or the Lannister gold was saved, but not both.

Hoping Jamie is kidnapped and eventually on Dany's side, though reluctantly.

so they were at the rear split off from main group right?

or at the front closest to the castle they just took? The time jumps make it hard to tell but I recall one of them saying they were worried about getting to far away from main group and thus needed to whip soldiers to motivate them

I think they lead you to believe that the time it takes to harvest the crops is how long it took for her armies to arrive. Seems plausible if you figure 2 weeks to get ALL the crops.

From watching, I got the impression that Randall prematurely told Jamie that the gold was safe, and Drogon burned it all. With the foreshadowing earlier in the ep from the bank of bravos telling cersie that they'd have her back, "when the gold arrives", foreshadowed that

Battle scene might have been best ever. If not, a close second to Hardholme

It's funny how this thread ended up in a forum created to avoid people from having to read spoilers

Masterpiece of an episode. So many great interactions.

I'm so confused about the fate of the gold . Dany legit dumb continuing with the dragon attack after the first missle missed . All she had to do was get out of reach and wait it out til the savages finished the slaughter .

Will need to watch again but was sure the old general said the gold had made it to kingslanding.

Yeah first thought was ok giant spear nearly hit you, get outta there and let the dothraki take care of it. On the beach before that scene Daenerys said "why should they be willing to die for me, if I'm not willing to risk my own life". Old school philosophy, in the past the kings/queens used to fight in the battles. Very much the dothraki way as well, they don't follow the weak.

New episonde, next battle and next army commander not doing their job. When your army rests you always have scouts to save you against surprises especially when the terrain suits a surprise attack.

Really hope Sansas glance doesnt mean she does something stupid because she is jealous that her sister is now actually a badass.

Odds on a Arya/The Hound vs the mountain showdown?

There is no both, there is just the gold they took from Tyrells.

Near exact wording of the General:

"All the gold is safely through the gate at Kings Landing".

How are people confused by that? Its not really ambiguous it it?

Does all of it go to the bank? There wasn't any for themselves?

this

I like that they teased how pissed Jamie was about the whole false accusation of Tyrion. Also loved Tyrion with "you ****ing idiot" and all that, classic Tyrion. I think maybe we're meant to believe that it sure looks likely that Jamie is dead to Tyrion, but obviously he won't be.

With that army in ruins, what army does Cersi have beyond the one guarding Kings Landing and Euron's?

Also I think it likely that maybe someone who works for Daenerys could be a spy. Dunno who though.

All of you talking about the battle... My highlight was Bran telling Littlefinger that "chaos is a ladder". I got legit chills.
08-05-2017 , 07:35 AM
I find Bran to me a bit of a boring one trick pony, but the line was cool.

Just watched it. Fantastic ep in terms of spectacle, one of the best ever. Dialogue and character moments are all so awkwardly written now. The bizarre chronology continues to be distracting as well, but minor in the scheme of things.
