This is what people are complaining about? I thought it was rather obvious. The white walkers were all standing near the entrance to the godswood. Arya lept over them from the top of the rampart.

On the plus side, we can forget about the army of the dead and there are three episodes to see who wins the game of thrones. Preview looks great.

In the after show on HBO Go, Benioff and Weiss said that they have known for three years that Arya would kill the Night King. I have to say, I loved that moment on a purely visceral level.
