It’s just that it’s Ruler of the North 101 - I’m sure there are centuries of lore about invaders from the south seeing their incursions wither because they can’t feed their armies. She’s stuck on page one of text and throwing it out there to make it look like she knows what she’s talking about.

That's because Sansa will end up on the Iron Throne.

hey, she gave jon the advice of "don't do what he wants you to do" before the battle vs ramsey

clearly a sophisticated military mind

And so smart that because of ???? she neglected to tell Jon pre battle that she had Littlefinger bringing the ****ing Knights of the Vale. Like, pretty relevant information.

Gendry/Arya are def getting married and he's going to be the compromise choice among the insiders to be king, right? As far as the masses know, he has the true claim to the throne.

I'm with you on this. I get that the reuniting had to be done, but it felt like that took up a lot of the episode, which would be fine if the episode had been 20 minutes longer or the season 3 episodes more. As I sit here this morning and look back I feel like there was the reuniting, squabbling over Jon no longer being King of the North, a CGI dragon ride, and then the big geneological reveal. I expected more.

Davos was great as usual though, even in that brief scene. When I looked back I decided he was my favorite character, narrowly edging Bronn.

This (+the battle in general, so bad) was the most tilting part of the show. There is literally zero upside in staying quiet unless you really, really want Jon + all "good" northmen to die.

Is there a back exit out of the crypts? If so my theory is Ep 2 sets up for war w/ dead, Ep 3 war with dead, living lose and as many as can retreat through WF crypts to Kings Landing. Setting up for a 2nd and final battle w/ dead w/ all players involved at KL.

The one thing I'm certain of is that they will have an idiotic fake out plot of Bronn stalking Jamie and/or Tyrion trying to make us think he is going to kill one or both and then he'll fire the crossbow into the wall at the last minute and say something like "You promised me double what she said" blah blah blah. It is going to be super aids.

A lot of people who spend endless time analyzing foreshadowing should think about how this "Sansa is smart and devious" thing was invented between seasons because they ran out of things for her character to do but Sophie Turner has a high enough profile now that you don't want to kill her off when she's still under contract.

Can't they raise any dead that haven't been burned?

This show blows big time! Its hard to watch its that bad.

Kyburn has obviously gone rouge, tell me I'm not the only one to see that?
04-15-2019 , 01:52 PM
I don't know, I don't pay attention to his makeup.
04-15-2019 , 02:25 PM
I can never figure out if they are trying to set up Sansa as a villain, or if she's just kind of a b****. Writers certainly haven't been going out of their way to make her likeable.
04-15-2019 , 02:36 PM
The 'Sansa is smart' thing was definitely the worst part of the episode. Arya saying it was laughable. At no point in any of the seasons has she shown signs of being smart.

In Behind the Scenes, Jon gags after having to kiss Dany. Lol.

Please explain to me why Jon has a better claim to the throne than Dany. Dany is the daughter of the mad king - that's a direct line of succession. Jon is the Mad King's grandson, and Dany's nephew.

Is it simply that he's male?

I REALLY want this to devolve into a huge battle between Jon and Dany for the Iron Throne. But that won't happen - not enough time left.
04-15-2019 , 03:06 PM
Def because he is male

Same reason George is ahead of Harry in Britain. His dad William is Harry's older brother. Jon is the son of the Mad King's eldest, Rhaegar, Dany's older brother.
04-15-2019 , 03:24 PM
Yeah lol, it's pretty cut and dry that Jon has more of a claim to the throne.
04-15-2019 , 03:27 PM
obviously not, or I wouldn't have asked, but thanks for the "lol"
