Uh, the white walkers clearly have intelligence, finding it isn't exactly difficult. The Night King also has some sort of extended vision abilities as well.

Of all the legit complaints about realism this is by far the silliest thing I've heard.

Nothing in the show so far suggest the dead retain memories.

How about the first time we see a wight and he somehow knows where the Lord Commander's quarters are?

You've got to be trolling.

edit: Actually I guess the first time we see a wight is in the very first scene.

There was magic preventing them from entering the Three-eyed Ravens cave before. Once that was broken is when the WWs showed up to kill them. The wights that were hanging out around the cave when Bran and company first arrived suggest the NK knew exactly where it was already.

Um frozen flat ground would still be easier to navigate than frozen forrests.

They knew where they were, they just couldn't break the protection spell around it until Bran screwed up and did it for them.

Honestly Elrazor, at this point you should probably just stop.

Cant believe you are doubling down here.

Its quicker to walk over a smooth unobstructed surface than random rough ground, does not matter if you are dead or not dead.

Fair enough I am being glib The overall point is you can make all kinds of dumb arguments when there are so many unknown factors, which is exactly what the "cerebral" crowd have been doing for most of the season.

Oh, look. You were being completely stupid and disingenuous the entire time, and everyone saw through it immediately.

when one of the iron born were blasting reek in the nuts over and over only to realize, what is gone will never hurt.

Great season, only posting to see if I'm still banned even though the books are now irrelevant to the show.

~2m53s for brother egg/aegon reference
09-02-2017 , 08:57 PM
Maester Aemon had two brothers Aerion and Aegon V. Aegon V was the Mad King's father. The Mad King's son Rheagar had a boy with Elia Martell that was named Aegon (call him VI) and his second boy with Lyanna Stark named Aegon (call him VII) or Jon Snow.

Maester Aemon was Jon Snow's great great uncle.

People on same line are same generation...

Aerion, Aemon (maester), Aegon V

Duncan, Aerys II (mad King), Rhaella, Daeron

Rhaegar, Viserys, Daenerys

Rhaenys, Aegon VI, Aegon VII (Jon Snow), Rhaego (Daenerys' son)

why did d and d name jon aegon

is Rheagar really that much of a dick. Lets secretly annul my marriage have a child with a northern whore and then name that child the same name as my first born.

Trying to fulfill a prophecy ain't easy.

On a side note, naming Jon Aegon might have been all Lyanna's doing. The time line is Rhaegar dying fighting Robert at Trident. The Targaryens were killed at King's Landing after the march from Trident. Then and only then does Ned Stark continue his search for and find Lyanna giving birth. She may have known by then through ravens which Targaryens were dead. She may have picked the name all by herself to honor and try and complete Rhaegar's prophecy obsession.

But yeah Rhaegar annuling Elia Martell marriage because Elia Martell couldn't have a third child is cold blooded.

wolfbook how do you know all this?
09-02-2017 , 10:13 PM
Binge TV. Some episodes have to be watched many times to hear certain words or tie pieces together.

For instance, the Bran flashback to young Ned Stark at the Tower of Joy (youtube it or someone link it) has Ned telling Ser Arthur Dayne that Rhaegar and the Mad King were dead, therefore Ned found Lyanna after the Targaryens (including baby Aegon VI) were dead. Ser Arthur Dayne and the other knight who talks in scene appear to know about Rhaegars deafeat at Trident to Robert.

Someone link Tower of Joy scene please.

I was specifically referring to some of the names in the generation post, and Elia not being able to have more children. I don't think this stuff was in the show, and your post history clearly shows you're a bookreader. We don't want this crap in here, otherwise we'd just read the other thread.

edit: you don't need to link the Tower of Joy scene, I'm not talking about that.

What the hell are you talking about? The maeser Aemon scene above has him saying both his brother names. And every other name is from show and most actually are in the first season. Hell Littlefinger in season one was the exposition character filling in a lot of names and details. I listed 14 names and I bet most people in here could name 10 (3 are a gimme from the maester Aemon scene in post #11943.)
