This is a great point. If Arya was legit mad about the letter why wouldn't she say that she stole it from Sansa's skeevy new friend Littlefinger? An upset sister wouldn't miss an opportunity to say "and your friends suck too."
So, she must be hiding that fact on purpose, and if she's hiding it on purpose she must know LF lead her to it.
Going through the trouble of writing dialogue to point something out that doesn't make sense on the surface can't be accidental. That would be bad writing pretending to be good writing just to make the bad writing even worse. That isn't a maneuver GoT writers/GRRM would pull.
