I'm happy that the sand snakes are dead. I think the series generally gets characters right, but I hated every character from Dorne except perhaps Oberyn. The sand snakes were whiny, arrogant, and unsubtle in every respect and were laughingly bad.

Oberyn also wasn't that good . He was sleeping with his ridiculously annoying sister. I definitely did like his fight with the Mountain, though.

I don't remember if they said she was Oberyn's sister but in one episode Oberyn said that people in Dorne wouldn't give a crap about that in one episode (talking about the Jaimie/Cersei thing or something).

They have been pretty consistent about portraying Oberyn and people from Dorne as extremely sexually freaky and anything goes.

Talk about the worst take in the thread.

Oberyn is easily a Top 5 character in the series. King's Landing storyline was infinitely better with him in it.

I didn't intend that as a ranking from top to bottom, just that all those on the list are more interesting characters than Oberyn Martell. I'd probably add Loras to the list.
