Like I said, I didn't know who is he and it did nothing for the scene for me. I can understand how it would though. If there's a cameo from an actor then you can usually not break immersion pretty easily. "Oh Ian Mcshane I wonder who he's going to play"
For someone usually not in the genre, it can certainly be more jarring. For example I remember thinking "Is that David ****ing Bowie!?" when I saw the Prestige. He's even an actor, I'd just never seen any movie that he'd been in at the time.
I can understand how this breaks immersion for people. Not a big deal imo, but yeah I understand it.
