Why is it harder to acknowledge he's playing a role as an actor than had it been any other person? He looked enough like what Lannister soldiers look like to play it convincingly imo.

No surprise here that Ed Sheeran isn't well known in the 2p2 community for target audience reasons. I guess it would be comparable to GoT running 10 years ago and Justin Bieber playing some Lannister kid.

I can understand that it puts some people off and just don't see the benefit of putting him in there, especially for the minor Arya reason and the potential controversy. It is a meh decision overall imo to put him in that role but it will completely irrelevant when the next awesome GoT moment arrives - lets hope that that will be soon!

The way to tell he didn't ruin the scene is that literally 0 people who didn't know who he was were commenting on his presence or acting as if it didn't fit.

If you can't look past the actor being famous for other things then that's a you problem.

Like if Daniel Radcliffe is in some movie and you're thinking "why is Harry Potter doing this?" then it's your problem for thinking of him as Harry Potter as opposed to the character he is playing.

I had to google Ed Sheeran, to read/watch with what songs he is popular. Read his name at this thread. Maybe heard of him that hi was bloking his twitter for negativicity before around 1 year. For my surprise I have heard his song Shape of You, on the radio, while driving

I like way more Bronn to sing then Ed.

So what's the deal with the face swapping? Is Arya shifting into their bodies? I mean I know it's a nitpick but Walder Frey is like a foot taller than her, if she's just swapping faces wouldn't that be noticeable?

Like I said, I didn't know who is he and it did nothing for the scene for me. I can understand how it would though. If there's a cameo from an actor then you can usually not break immersion pretty easily. "Oh Ian Mcshane I wonder who he's going to play"

For someone usually not in the genre, it can certainly be more jarring. For example I remember thinking "Is that David ****ing Bowie!?" when I saw the Prestige. He's even an actor, I'd just never seen any movie that he'd been in at the time.

I can understand how this breaks immersion for people. Not a big deal imo, but yeah I understand it.

For some reason everyone on the show other than the brotherhood got new black unis. Queensguard were all wearing Lannister-style gear, only black.

I've definitely wondered about the shape-shifting too. Seems like a power that would be granted by the Many Faced God but she kinda rejected that life, and also iirc there was some semblance of balance / duty required but she's just kinda mass murdering.
