The sensible reason for having whitehat bookreaders in here has not only been put forth ITT and the previous one numerous times, but it is painfully obvious. But I'm not going to rehash it for you, because the thread doesn't need to devolve into that discussion every time some nitwit is either too dense to see the common sense in having whitehats in here, is too lazy to actually read back on the discussion he is reigniting, or both.
lol ok.

There are a number of people who want to live in the world created by the show, not live in the world created by the books. If we are not going to create three threads(book, show, hybird), then IMO we should go purely with show. I understand some people want to be made aware of the missing links that were made clear in the book and not in show, but there are people who dont want or care for that.

The people who want the history can achieve so pretty easily, for example by pm'ing one of the people with a good "track record" that have been posting itt. Maybe that should be the third thread, not really a discussion thread but a Q/A type thread for book readers to answer questions.

I dont do books. The number of books I have read since 6th grade I can count one one hand. I dont say it like its impressive, I know its not an admirable trait, but its the truth. If you dont believe me just see my grammar in my posting history.

At the worst I would like to see a panel of approved people(at most like 3, that would answer only when proposed with a question and always in a spoiler.

There has never been a GOOD reason why everyone and their mother needs to be posting in this thread. And the reason brought up doesnt include posts like "WOWOWOWOOWOWOW omg dragons!", or anything like that, but yet many book readers do so in this thread. Whats the gain of these posts? There is enough of both groups to not need crossover.

Overlord: make them stop with the new thread ideas and/or discussion of book readers. I'm getting aids

Would you rather us discuss the 3 minutes worth of trailers for the next month?

The Dothraki are heavily based off the Steppe area tribes with the most famous of them being the Mongols. The Mongols, led by Genghis Khan, basically sacked and laid waste to most of China, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.

Talk about Aegon Targaryen "I'm gonna ride a dragon and take over a continent" level of bad ass. Reminds me of the "legacy" speech by Tywin to Arya in season 2.

I'm always fascinated to see the relative power of one house/faction compared to another.

He did it by commanding a "swarm of bees" army that shot arrows at people who had no defense against the arrow's effectiveness. They rode around on horseback, had up to 5-8 remounts/other horses on average (sometimes as high as 15), and dominated everyone with tactics mainly.

Killed 50-80 million people back in 1207ish-the next hundred years on. Like 16% of the world's population.

Feels equally ridiculous as someone riding on a dragon and ****ing people up that way.

The white walkers is a futuristic prediction from G.R.R Martin. Its based on his predictions that the Canadians will invade the U.S.

Hint: the reason they should be in here has nothing to do with filling in gaps. Also discussion is not limited to speculation and "omgdragons!"

Hint2: you seem to be adverse to any book spoilers, but clearly have not put an ounce of thought into how avoiding book spoilers while participating in an online discussion could realistically be accomplished.

Hint3: maybe if you picked up a book now and then, you wouldn't have such a limited capacity for critical thought.

Anyways, I'm officially done with this dialogue, and I hope everyone else is too by the time April 6th hits.

Explain this persons value then.

Also explain the reasoning for bookreaders to be posting in this thread since I obviously dont know it?

Surely there's things to discuss other than all this, let's all rewatch s3. I'm waiting for my bluray to arrive, although I never deleted the season from my dvr.

I agree....So does anyone else feel weird when the guy who plays Hodor does anything besides say Hodor? I can't imagine this as a role but anything but a typecast or whatever it's called where they fall into that type of role forever given one role (IE James Gandolfini).
