I believe the illustrated extras give some back story on this-- that or it's been implied previously on the show that there are two sides to the story.

I don't think stannis is going to die. There's a big theme of competence (little finger, half man , stannis) trumping style and charisma. (Rob, stannis' brother, ned, danerys )

Whatever the resolution to this story. I don't think it's going to be happily ever after.

Ya they've definitely painted a picture that seems like it was an affair an not some rapenapping incident.

Actually am glad I did the 4 up front. Really excited for tonight and feels like another premier.

Stannis will probably die eventually, to quote Cersie "When you play the game of thrones you either win or you die"

He's either going to take over Westeros or die trying.

Are you not entertained??

So many things...
Spoiler:
Did friend zone dude touch Tyrion at the end there?

Seemed like a marking time ep. The execution by dragon scene was so terrible.

Gilly and Stannis' daughter are the best, Stannis' wife is the worst. But we all knew that.

well, with snow heading north again to recruit wildlings, i feel like my prediction on him supplanting stannis this season is looking pretty thin. although perhaps we could still see snow + giantsbane parachuting in deus ex style in a bolton / stannis confrontation near the end of s5.

they were really laying on the jon snow hints pretty thick this episode... aemon griping to sam about a targaeryan being "alone in the world"... cue snow's dopey face at the door. i hope we at least get that reveal out of the way soon.

but dany reopening the fighting pits was a good call. at this point we're probably lining up for her calming **** down in mereen and setting out for westeros at the end of this season.

Poor Jorah, Dany will never touch him now.

Fewer.
What?
Nothing.
05-10-2015 , 11:49 PM
At least he'll be rock hard if he gets to bang her
05-11-2015 , 12:29 AM
kind of a **** episode imo

Thanks for clearing that up, I never rewind, and I didn't catch it on the rewind either.

It's moments like these that have me baffled by people who don't love Stannis. By far the most underrated character on the show.

Found it slightly lacking too.

Although that's kind of common for GoT, after a big OMG episode they tend to have a slower episode.

But even still there were big things, Bolton's new kid angle, Jon's wildling alliance, and Jorah catching dragon AIDS.

We did get a lot of story movement. Stannis leaves. Jon going north again. Jorah has aids. Dany marrying some guy for some unknow reason. Greyworm likes girls. Selmy is dead. Dragons.

We also know that Stannis knows how to kill White Walkers now.

That credits music tho!

Thought the episode was pretty good - bit slow, but ldo we weren't supposed to wait 4 weeks on a cliffhanger for it

If that's what makes you pity him, he practically had gray scale since S1

The fewer line was perhaps the greatest moment in the shows history. I laughed so damn hard.
05-11-2015 , 10:07 AM
Myranda/Ramsay scene was hot.
05-11-2015 , 12:33 PM
Anyone catch the Stannis grammar nittery? So good. He had another one in another scene with Davos on a ship earlier.

Whatever happened to Gentry - is he still making his way to KL?
05-11-2015 , 01:08 PM
I suspect we'll see the youngest Stark boy in the next few episodes - seems like they are setting it up so that Theon tells Sansa, and then I suspect somehow word gets out so that the North rises up on his behalf to help Stannis attack the Boltons.
