He used sarcasm to get a point across (a common tactic on the internet, maybe you'll get a hang of it sometime), that maybe in a fantasy world you should allow more room for suspension of disbelief and that the existence of living skeletons should make me let go of small details I might not think make sense. It's been discussed before and I'm in the camp that likes that they've kept the GoT world pretty realistic and understandable by fantasy world standards.

I refuse to believe the hound is dead

I think it would be cheap storytelling/plot twisting if the Hound isn't dead. I can already imagine how corny it would be...Arya saying something like "I wanted to kill you, but not like that" or whatever if/when they run into each other again

I refuse to believe that the writers get rid of every great character

Oberyn
Hound
Jaqen
Tywin
Blackfish

The five most boss characters of the show, and where are they? Instead I have to root for a dumb chick who locks nuclear weapons with personalities (dragons) in a cage or a guy who ditches the only chick who has ever truly loved him to hang with his bros and recite some more dumb vows

I'm getting to the point where I want Josey Wales to ride into town and kill half the cast just so I can finally fistpump something

He is def going to get saved by LF and Sansa's travelling party.

Yeah, as I posted earlier, the rule of thumb is, if you don't see a major character die on screen, they're not really dead.

It's like basically a law in tv/movie dramas.
06-20-2014 , 09:42 PM
The Sansa/LF saving him does make a ton of sense. She'll feel like she owes him since he saved her.

My wife is starting the series right now. It's funny how different Dinklage looks and crazy how many characters in this first episode aren't around anymore.

It's not the writers lol, it's the author blame him..

I thought they just burned them because they wouldn't want to give the ww's a chance to turn them, not that they'd automatically turn over night if they didn't.
This is what I thought to. It is the only thing that makes sense. If they just automatically turn, why are people all over not becoming undead? Why didn't all of the people who died in battles during the war turn? Twin Lanaster and Rob Stark were not burning all of the bodies of people who died. If it was like the walking dead were everyone that died turns, then wouldn't there be these things all over the place? I mean people die all the time and we haven't seen people turning in Kings Landing or anywhere else, we have only seen people who died beyond the wall become undead, and that is where the white walkers are.

I watched the first season last weekend and your right about how different Dinklage looks not just the scar either, it looks like he has aged dramatically but not in a bad way.

Also he acts different as well, the Tyrion we first see in the brothel outside of Winterfell is a completely different Tyrion than we see on trial for killing the kind.

Hound is gonna be the one to eventually kill the Mountain. He can't be dead!
06-21-2014 , 05:30 PM
Tyrion at the beginning of the series is very much just hedonistic. He's smarter than those around him but pretty much only cares about drinking and whoring and indulging his other random desires.

All the war and family drama slowly turned him much more political.

Five most boss characters?

Ned is dead
Robert is dead
Tywin is dead
Stannis just defeated an army of 100k

Not sure who the 5th boss is.

maybe Reek as the bad-ass triple agent?
06-22-2014 , 01:29 AM
Don't wanna sound nit picky, but you can't really say Stannis defeated them
06-22-2014 , 04:04 AM
"The Bloody Gate is 10 miles from here" was said 3 times during the Brienne-Hound-Arya convo

Drogo has to be at, or near, the top of any boss list.
06-22-2014 , 04:39 PM
Drogo died by allowing a blade to dig into his body and not having anyone who knew how to heal in his company. Too dumb to make any GoT boss list.
06-22-2014 , 05:19 PM
Something rubbed me the wrong way about Drogo. He didn't seem to have much personality. He was written like a device for Dany's development, and lo n behold he was.

Ned was not boss. Robert would have been boss if he wasn't drunk and foolish. Other than his fighting at Blackwater, Stannis isn't boss

Bosses are those who pimpslap and walk away clean. I'd add Bronn and Drogo to the list.

Most boss thing each of the boss characters have done?

Tywin - Sent the king to bed without supper. The king is tired

Drogo -

Oberyn - Everything up to the very end. Dude was an embellishment of pure boss

Hound - That'll be two chickens. **** the king! And you thought you'd collect? What in the seven hells are you doing with the Stark bitch? (basically anytime he speaks)

Blackfish -

Jaqen - A poster need not explain

Bronn - Killed the right people, I suppose

Honorable mention: Brienne - She did kill like three guys while Jaime watched. In some ways, she's the most boss of the whole show, but I don't think she gives off that impression because "boss" tends to be about masculine characteristics. Brienne is too emotional to go with the stereotype. Blackfish and Tywin are quintessential boss in their lack of emotion when doing what needs to be done

Other honorable mention: Daario - his kills have been the cleanest, his confidence the highest, and results almost perfect. But **** him. Just something wrong about him

Dishonorable mention: Barristan - His cake carving speech in s1 was ultra boss, but it's getting silly how little we get to actually see of his talents.
06-22-2014 , 07:36 PM
Olenna = boss too.
06-22-2014 , 07:37 PM
Might as well add Varys and LF as political bosses.
06-23-2014 , 01:39 AM
Tywin got killed by a dwarf - decidedly not boss.
