Thought Gilly swearing was great tbh, and I didn't think LF pushing her out the moon door was part of his big plan, maybe killing her eventually yes, but not at that particular time. Seemed to me he was forced to after she caught him kissing Sansa and just took the chance when it arose.

Littlefinger definitely acted on impulse, which is usually a precursor to death on this show. I found it completely believable, however, as he's had quite the run lately and probably feels invincible.

I'm one who has always liked the slow burn of GoT, the development episodes and the character building, but like the real world sometimes there are lulls and sometimes everything seems to happen at once and you can't catch your breath. I think this season has been fantastic.

Agreed. I think LF legit is infatuated with Sansa (as he was with her mother). I don't think him kissing her and then pushing Lysa through the Moon door was part of his scheme. I think he was always going to kill Lysa, but things likely got pushed up when he saw her threatening to kill Sansa. No way he could let her live and give her an opportunity to kill Sansa at a later point (or let her send Sansa away). I doubt he wanted to kill Lysa in front of Sansa and have her as a witness.

cnn's main page has 2 stories right now about the upcoming season finale - the titles of which make it sound like some details have been released. just a heads up that if you choose to avoid 'next week on...' type trailers - may want to be prepared to look away if you browse regular news sites.

I just realized we're about to enter the 10 month no GoT purgatory again.

However there will be 40 episodes, if you wanted to rewatch the whole series 1 episode per week it would totally carry you over the entire span.

seen S1 and 2 so many times at this point I think I need at least a year break before going back.

God damn Sophie Turner is a babe salad

When i think of "what was the slowest/most annoying part of got so far?" The image of dany entering the warlock tower pops up. All dany stuff in s2(?) was horribly slow even though it had dragons !!

Just a reflection. I liked it at the time but those parts and qarth stuff is probably what id FF if any part have to go.

Well all dany parts except when she gets doggystyled would have to go.

Even the "epic dany finale". God i dont like her anymore at all, probably thanks to s4.

enjoyed all 4 season so far , although it does go a bit slow at times. Looking forward to the finale and i cant decide whether tyrian will get killed off or not. Not read the books so i genuinely have no idea. noone seems to be safe though

Does anyone know if they have HBO in Spain? Hope I can catch season finale while traveling.

In celebration (or mourning) of tomorrow night's finale. God, I love this show. Sunday nights won't be the same for a while..... the stirring main title by Ramin Djawadi....

Stannis is the epitome of a third wheel, and his plot hasn't fundamentally changed for at least two whole seasons. That would have been a compelling way to get a huge upheaval without causing any unsolvable problems (like if the writers want to get Stannis on the throne in a regular way, they would have to kill Tywin to do it. With my idea, they could have gotten Stannis on the throne without killing Tywin).

And now it looks like Stannis won't be going to the Wall either (the time to do it would have been ep9 and saving the NW). Which means ep10 will probably have him looking into the fire like the end of s2 or being told something by Meli like the end of s3. Stannis is the perpetual motion machine. I think the only thing I can see in foreshadowing for Stannis in ep10 is if Mel tries to sacrifice his daughter and then either Davos betrays Stannis or Stannis himself betrays Mel. I assume that's coming, but perhaps not this season.
I agree wrt Stannis and hopefully something will happen soon, but your theory that everyone should be going to the Mountain instead of the Mountain going to everyone is probably the worst theory you've posted itt (I usually really like your theories fwiw) and I would've facepalmed if this scenario played out.

I really liked Dany's s2, I think she started to get stale in s3.

You could make it work by adding a few variables like (1) Mountain is on a location that would take him too long to get to KL but not that long for Tyrion and the judges/legal team/fighters to get there. (2) Cersei could be super impatient and simply demand they ride out to the Mountain so he can kill Tyrion faster. She wouldn't have to be reasonable since she's supposedly the boss of the trial and is already thinking irrationally. (3) Maybe there's a rule that states the TbC must happen within a certain time period (like two sundowns or something), and they had to ride out to Mountain in order to get it done in time.

I think it could have been written in just fine. Obviously it would have been dumb if it was just willy-nilly "derp we're going to see the Cleganster".

Why? they said the battle hadn't been won yet, they're still staggeringly outnumbered and we know that Stannis got an army. It seems like they've set it up nicely for him to save the Night's Watch tonight in E10.

that's too big. sounds like a next season thing.

I'm expecting tonight to give us Tyrion's fate, find out whether Arya got let in or turned away setting littlefinger and sansa on a search expedition, and something for dani that I won't care about.

Tyrion about to be executed by his father. Happy Fathers day!

hoping for a good deal of plot movement this finale. beside joff dying, this season has lacked any big changes in status quo. even mance's big stroke against the nights watch is yet to fall.

I'll be watching on HBO GO shortly and be back for some discussion (and moderation) immediately afterwards.
