Thank you.

I avoid the "next week on..." previews, but I'm too much of an addict to not watch preseason trailers.

Can someone post the new trailer in spoilers, or PM it to me? Did a quick search but could only find the older ones.

Is this the scene where everyone is trying to sit as close to Tywin as possible, and Tyrion instead drags his chair as far away as he can? Who could ever dislike that scene?

I don't think the point is he drags it as far away as he can. He drags it from the last seat on the end to the opposite head of the table as Tywin, a more powerful position. Cersei sits at the seat closest to Tywin and opposite from Littlefinger and Varys instead of the last seat next to them, demonstrating she thinks she's more important than both of them.

Great scene.

Yea sitting at the head/end of the table is a power position. That scene is one of my all time favorites in any show ever.

Thanks for the approval

Ok I'll amend my thought. I like the idea of Tyrion going to the head of the table to be defiant....just felt the chair screeching was a bit excessive is all. Def different strokes type spot.

I cant remember, where does Ramsay keep Theon? His sister is going after him, right?

The Dreadfort.

(assuming cause that's where the Boltons reside)

Also, lol at the amount of book readers allowed in.

I was lenient with letting people in and I love it.

The hammer has been thrown.

Chair screeching was easily the best part of the scene imo. Would have been semi forgettable without it.

Is this guy on the list?
03-25-2014 , 01:00 PM
this guy is supposedly not a bookreader, but that won't stop me from kicking his ass out of here if he starts custering.

i only realized it this morning, but iirc i had to leave the Survivor thread a few years ago because this guy and a couple others just loved it to ****ing death. it was mostly all the people with survivor avatars.

Chair scene was awesome. Nothing in this show sucked. Carry on.

I like chairs

I'd enjoy a summary of the links between the various sub-plots as there's an awful lot to piece together and I expect many of these threads to converge in s4. Some links are obvious but some slightly more obscure (eg the brothers without banners worshiping the same god as Stannis; the repetition of the valar morghulis line etc) so it'd be cool to be able to see it all tied together, but I'm terrified of spoilers so I daren't go near google.

Has anything along these lines been posted in the previous thread, or does anyone know of any spoiler-free site that just explores the stuff that's been shown on tv?

I think there is a wiki page strictly for the TV show and contains 0 spoilers.

Well I think I have a pretty good grasp on both of these.

1. The BWB worships the Lord of Light because they have a priest with them, Thoros of Myr, who brought back their leader from the dead 6 times.

2. "All men must die". I think it's just a famous line from the old Valyrian religion/culture. Probably pretty common to hear or maybe it's taken some counter culture like meaning. Wouldn't think about it beyond this. I'm sure it'll keep popping up.

ahh thanks, I just thought valar morghulis was some sort of secret code word and prob read too much into it when I heard someone other than the spooky magic killer guy say it at some point.

just started watching GoT. i'm 4 episodes in and im hoping some1 will answer (at least one) question for me.

i understand the dynamic so far between the Lanisters and the family from the North who moves to the capitol to serve the drunk king.

i dont understand how the albino brother and sister and the Dorthrakians fit in. i get that the brother basically traded his sister for a army to storm the capital and be king, but so far is there anything else i'm supposed to know about them and how they relate to the Lanisters/family from the north?

They are the Targaryen's, the son/daughter (I think) of the "Mad King," who Jamie Lannister/the Kingslayer killed. Once the Mad King was killed, the drunk king you mentioned took the throne.. Most of the Targaryen's were killed off, but those two went into hiding once the Mad King died and are now trying to get back to Kings Landing to retake the throne. They need an army to do that, so that's where the Dothraki come in.

I'm sure someone could explain this way better than I could.

Their family was the ruling family before the drunk king and his allies overthrew them. They believe that they are rightful heirs to the throne. Brother marries sister to dothraki who has a big army, big army goes and takes back throne for brother/sister/dothraki. That's the plan.

The current Queen is a Lannister. The Lannister family used to be allies with the former king before betraying him. The northern family (Starks) helped the drunk king overthrow the previous king. There's a whole story about how the war started also.
