You forgot Bran warging into the dragons to defeat the whitewalkers, that seems like where this is ultimately headed. Dragonstone kills whitewalkers, so dragons probably do too, Dany has dragons, Bran can control animals, seems like the most blatantly obvious path. Only question is whether or not there's anything left to rule over once they win. They've both had a vision of the throne room mostly destroyed and covered in snow, Dany in Qarth, Bran a few episodes ago iirc, so doesn't seem promising

Dragons would be great against Wights, but they won't do a damn thing against the Walkers...Unless they know how to use a dragonglass dagger?

EDIT: Post is meaningless after dudd's edit.

we have absolutely no idea what the motivations behind the White Walkers are though. we do have some clues that they have something resembling intelligence and therefore presumably motivation follows. think we can rule out noble intentions and rule out that they want to rule. until we have some idea what their deal is I don't know what we can say about them. all we know is bad news they've become active.

they only existed in folk tales insofar as everyone knew until recently. and all we know is what old nan said about them + transform babies + make nifty spirals from dead horses. anything else?

its clear the ancient world is coming back. not only the white walkers but the lord of light (new?) and old gods by way of bran's vision at the godswood tree and, well, dragons. none of these played any role afaik in the world for like thousands of years (?) or something.

although you forgot the hilarious hypocrisy+never doing anything for herself combo.

ah right somehow this eluded me

Demon WW might be the Lord of Darkness that Lady Mel spoke of.

oh damn if the end game is that the ancients have decided to gg humanity that would be fairly epic. the apocalypse of westeros.

I know this is major nittery but it is really tilting me how many people have the downward sloping scars on their cheeks.

The White Walkers won't let that happen if they can help it because it would also mean the end of their race. No human (male?) babies = no new WWs.

EDIT: I'm also assuming that human adults and children can't be converted to Walkers either. We know that humans touched by White Walkers become the zombie Wights. Who knows though?
04-28-2014 , 03:08 AM
We just know they can turn human babies into Walkers. Nothing really follows from this knowledge.
04-28-2014 , 03:09 AM
I think assuming that WW can only be created through transforming human (male?) (blood of the first men?) babies is fair at this point because of the absence of anything resembling a town with white walker women being shown at their home base.

Nice idea. Plausible.

But LoL has been shown to posses omnipresence. LoD is just a guy walking around in a snowy cave?

Right, we've seen several WWs but no women. We know that Wights are the result of human adults and children touched by WWs. We know that Craster has been offering up male babies to the WWs. And now we know that they use those babies to create new WWs to lead their army.

Until we learn otherwise, I'm going to assume it's only human (male?) babies who can be transformed.

All babies. And it's humans that can be transformed, male or female.

No, they're not an ancient race.

Yes, that WW at the end is Lord of Darkness. He (she? it?) needs humans for an army. Converting all humans into WWs will extinguish the light once and for all.

Also, I'm expecting big things with Sansa and Arya Stark next ep.

VALAR MORGHULIS

OMG I just realized something. I was thinking about why people are constantly saying the phrase Valar Morghulis to each other. Then, I remembered when Dany and Missy said, "Valar Morghulis. All men must die. But we are not men." And finally that led me to believe that all men dying is necessary in order to stop furthering the line of White Walkers. The male babies! If there are no more babies, THAT'S the only way there could be no more Walkers.

Just a theory about the phrase...

Yeah how do you know all this ****?
04-28-2014 , 04:35 AM
Fwiw I've always assumed Craster gives the WW's his boys because he wants to **** the girls and that they're cooperating that way.
04-28-2014 , 04:47 AM
I wasn't blown away by the WW scene, it's just one of those things that will always be more frightening in your imagination than when you actually see that it's just your standard army of CGI monsters. They should've held on to that suspense longer (yeah I get that we've seen them before and it was too early).

Hardball, go **** yourself. If you're a bookreader or not. Posting in such a way is ******ed. If your post gets deleted i know its true. If it doesnt get deleted i know that theory is out because of the way you posted it. ****ing idiot.

time to not post/read for a day and never return to page 105 (lol not 100 posts per page) to never find out if his post is deleted or not

I'm happier about my posts now at least.
04-28-2014 , 06:12 AM
Though I really want to know how the hell he knows what he posted.
04-28-2014 , 06:50 AM
I don't think Bran is ready to warg into any human he chooses. He was able to get into Hodor's mind because Hodor is a simpleton, it was probably one step above an animal's
04-28-2014 , 07:21 AM
Think he can do DRAGONS yet? Or Walkers?

Also, how are her own people going to view her when she decides to invade an already free land? She's going to send thousands of them to their deaths, for what? To reclaim her fathers throne? This army doesn't give a **** about Westeros or the Iron Throne, and at this point, neither should she. Creating a slave-free Essos and ruling over it seems a much more noble pursuit. Maybe she'll actually realize this.
