I don’t imagine that Weiss and Benioff care even slightly about that distinction.

Not sure what level this is on, but if this was in there, I missed it.

Perhaps. Nevertheless, my main point is that it looks like it was meant to function like the staff that she trained with in Braavos, but modified to fight White Walkers. That's the first thing ought to come to the viewer's mind and not the tree-trunk-sized javelin that NK killed the dragon with.

Interesting dragon glass spear talk and there definitely was two foreshadowings with the three dragon glass knife shots and her practicing her archery.

re: dragon glass effect on dragon or Night King, when they showed everyone the captured dead, he was finished off by dragon glass knife and basically fell apart almost instantly iirc.

Arya. In the Night King's back. With a dragon glass spear/arrow.

/Clue

Danny abandons winterfell with her dragons.

Everyone in the crypt dies.

Dragon come back to rescue John.

This somehow facilitates a few of the characters with unresolved arcs to escape. (Jamie, Sansa, Bran)

Action moves to Kings Landing.

Actually. Bran plus a few others somehow survive in the godswood. (Some sort of mystic protection) where the Bran-NK story line develops.

Here is a link that shows the diagram and explains the idea.

is their any reasonable explanation for not taking the last stand at the wall btw?
Leaving a few guys at the wall and other castles(basically just delivering fresh supply for the army of the dead) doesn't make much sense

She said she wanted to know what it is like before she died.

Jamie having to kill Cersei from using even more wildfire, just like he had to do with the Mad King, would be nice
04-24-2019 , 06:54 PM
The Kingslayer becoming the Queenslayer definitely seems likely.

Not sure what it was, but OK, no more posts from me, hopefully I can find another site to discuss GOT!

I definitely missed that. Per the link, it was only briefly visible, so I guess I must not have seen it. If you picked that up from the show alone, that's way more observant than I am.

I still don't think it moves the needle that much. She's not killing a dragon with that thing.

Podrick can kill a dragon with his thing, I bet

Brienne took up Jamie's oath to find/protect Sansa. Based on her arc essentially being completed by becoming a knight...I'd predict she dies but perhaps Jamie may assume Brienne's role as protecting Sansa esp if Theon is killed. Sansa and Cersaei obv had a unique relationship and she is the lady of Winterfell so it could serve as a vehicle to bring Sansa/Cersei/Jamie all back together again by end of season if Jamie is serving as her protector. Also Sansa was the one who allowed Jamie to stay and most likely redeem himself in many people's eyes after the battle is over.

Jon is busy, Arya has her own deal going on. Bronn is useless. If Brienne dies Sansa really only has Theon for protection.

Brienne is toast - if she was going to survive the battle, the writers would have written her knighthood in after the battle.

Interesting that the two characters who despised each other, Ned and Jamie, actually sacrificed the thing they held most sacred, their "honor", for their family/greater good and in both instances the reason was masked behind a lie.

Ned being he broke his oath and cheated on his wife and bore a bastard.

Jamie being that he broke his oath and turned on his king by murdering him/stabbing him in back for his own safety/convenience.

I don't believe anyone knows the truth on why it occurred beyond Brienne or likely Bran right? Jamie's never told anyone else that we know of correct?

When do we expect Melisandre? She has to be a key player in all of this

Assuming the obv happens - Winterfell is lost, Team Living retreat to either Dragonstone or more likely Iron Islands...then seems likely Melisandre reappears there. Also seems likely that when she says she has to die it likely means she sacrifices herself to LoL for some type of offering for Team Living

not that he won't, but there's basically no good reason for Theon to be alive on Monday

dying protecting the Starks is the too perfect conclusion for his arc
him not dying would basically be Lt. Dan
