So this is an example auction card. In a secret facebook group, people can bid for the right to "own" Euron Greyjoy. When 24hrs passes between bids, the auction is considered "won" and that person pays the fee.
Once all the 43 characters are auctioned (we are up to number 30 of 43) that will create the prizepool, and the prizemoney is shared as mentioned below.
It is possible to buy a character, and not get your money back i.e Jon Snow costs $1000 and only dies.
How much every prize is worth will be determined by the total bids, and for the deathpool element, how many characters actually die. If only one dies, they would get the whole 50% of buyins. In reality, 15-20 characters will die.
Its stupidly good fun, and I would recommend that 2+2 either runs their own auction, or simply take the values they were sold at, and draft them off at that price (reduced by whatever % to make the competition a good sweat/affordable).
FWIW, I have no intent on running a 2+2 pool as I CBF'ed dealing with international transactions etc...
