Can the people who think there has been so much progress in the story explain what has changed for Arya two seasons?

You should challenge them to explain what has changed for Gendry. That will really prove your point!

Certain characters plot lines have progressed a lot, others not so much, it's that simple.

Some people are just really big fans of the stock market.

For the past two seasons character progression equals death. If you are still alive nothing of substance has occurred.

I want to post this for what I hope is the last time.
Previews and extras, pod casts and actor interviews aren't spoilers, I would PREFER you put them in tags and I'd RATHER you use good judgement when talking about them.
A lot of fan theories get mixed from show to book and back and forth and that **** thats in the wild ( Ser Robert Strong is a fine example of someone lots of show watchers "knew" but actually they refer to him as Ser Gregor still on the show) . The only way to avoid it is to avoid ANYTHING about thones , that means this thread.
We do keep watch of whats getting posted. I am a book reader and a show watcher so if I catch something that's not "in the wild" and part of what is now show lore then we delete it.
I will also say this there are people who are far better at watching TV then others a prime example is a show like LOST when it first was a thing there were super crazy **** being posted and talked about , **** that I ( or others ) never saw but it was clear as day when you went back or theories that made sense. While I say this line is more blurred with a show like this don't discount others ability of perception over your own.

This is consistent with your posted rules in OOTV. Just an FYI to some that may not be aware.

Very true re: better observers than others. And a good example of the blurred lines was when Joffrey got poisoned, and the screencaps of the necklace jewel disappearing. It was on TV, but never would be caught without bookreader knowledge (direct or leaked). We just have to live with stuff like that.

fortunately i only listened to the audio books

clovis it should be pretty obvious that a bunch of plot lines are going to( and have to) converge before all the plot lines move together at roughly the same speed.

my guess is that is why they didnt include bran into last season even though they theoretically could have... and why dany has been stalling for a long time... same with the faith etc.

im hoping that jon leaving the wall will be a catalyst

Hopefully. I'm just grumpy because in the span of about 8 eps this has gone from my favourite show to one I sort of dread each week. I'd like nothing more than a return to when it was great.

So many scenes last night seemed like wasted fillers. The Samwell/Gilly scene, what was the point? The whole Tyrion/GreyWorm/Missandei "truth or drink" game? Pointless. Just have No-cock come in already with the news. The old Khal bitches telling Dany she has to stay there? Was pretty much said in last episode.

There are some great story lines to be developed: the coming Rickon stuff, the Bolton/Umber alliance or false alliance, Cersei/Jamie look about ready to unleash FrankenMountain on some people, what Lord Snow will do with his wildling supporters, etc.

1. It shows that Gilly considers Sam the father of little Sam, and also explains where they're going and why. None of us really care, but it still advances their story/characters.

2. It shows how awkward they are around each other. They're supposed to rule together, but have zero chemistry.

3. Agree, just rehashed last week's scenes pretty much. Like the 3 episodes of "Where are my dragons?" over and over we got in season 2.

Mountainstein getting stabbed through the eye 5 seconds into his unleashing would be hilarious.

Did anyone else notice that someone let out a nervous fart when FrankenMountain (well done whomever came up with that) walked in to the little council discussion about him?
05-09-2016 , 06:38 PM
The old maester who was talking **** about him literally **** himself when the monster walked in. I was dying, I jumped back a few times for that one. I think the way it played on the stereo is what did it

Her story has become pure AIDS.

I didn't notice from the audio, but I had captions on and saw (fart), so I went back and listened.

Sad thing is I can't see now the end isn't either her and snow as couple on throne or as leaders of final battle against each other. Tyrion has hand of the king in either.

The first 3 episodes could have been cut to 1 episode easy without losing anything at all.

I'm still loving the season because I'm a fanboi, I just wish it would move a little faster and waste less time for the draaaaaaammmmmaaaaa

Arya's Daredevil-training seemed short as-is, 1 episode would have been crazy. But yeah they could have started that halfway though last season with nothing lost.

Speaking of which, did she just successfully trick the faceless assassins in to believing she is no-one whilst still having needle and whatever else stashed on the outside?
