This will be tldr but these things interest me as I've seen similar situations throughout my life. This one seems a little off though.
The above post is right. These sites are usually hosted out of Costa Rica and local bookies pay for the service per player, like 5 to 20$ per week. They don't have to take 100s of phone calls and keep track of it. Plus its a lot harder for a guy to try to back out and claim he didn't make the bet when he has to enter a password twice. Its highly unlikely the owner of the site has anything to do with it or even knows who you are other than the number assigned as your username. Seems like something a guy that bets as heavy as 20k/week would be familiar with. Did you just start betting sports?
A few other questions/thoughts. First if tony signed you up with his bookie (assuming he's not the bookie), he was probably getting 5 to 10% of your losses. And when you won he decided to just keep your winnings and cut you off. That makes the most sense to me. His story doesn't really make sense as to why the bookie wouldn't want to pay you the 6k. I've never heard of a bookie claiming they don't pay out because you made "sharp" bets. Hell, if you had just lost 100k over the last 5 weeks, even a halfway decent bookie would've been on your doorstep Monday morning to pay you your 6k and serve you breakfast in bed. Either the actual bookie doesn't know about all this, the bookie is just horrible and doesn't know what he's doing, or there is no bookie and Tony was just free rolling you from the start. Thinking about it, the free roll also makes sense because most bookies aren't just going to give a new player a 20k/week limit, unless he's just really big time. And if the bookie was that big time he wouldn't be sweating your 6k win. Or all this is embellished for some other reason.
Second, why would you knock off the 1.5k he lost to you another way, completely unrelated to the sports winnings?
Third, anyone know why this original thread was deleted the other day? Just curious if there were rules that were broken or what.
Lastly, why are you so hung up about your username and telling everyone your DNA? That weirdness makes me question the whole story. Maybe you want the thread deleted for another reason.
Anyway, hope you get your money and/or this guys rep is ruined if this actually happened. Do you have other texts that show you paid out all that money, and that he refused to pay you when you won? Like I said, some parts of the story seem odd.
