I purchased 4 hours with Thomas for $1000, we called exactly 1hr 24min. Was expecting 4 one hour-ish calls but he charged by the minute and spent 40 minutes in a fairly valueless chit-chat about poker related things to which I had no idea I was being charged 5$ a minute for otherwise I wouldve ended the call way before. Then at the end he recommended I use the rest of my time with one of the other zentith guys (who on their site charges half of what I paid by the way) expecting me to pay the full amount I spent on Thomas. Anyways I politely reached out to him explaining that I don't have a use for the rest of the hours and would like a refund, to which he just said he wont do offering no further explanation to than that. Honestly scummy behaviour in my opinion, heres the conversation:

be carefull when you by there preflop ranges on some cases nothing in description indicates it has time restricted access ,happens to me, thought i had boubght ranges in november 2022, and found out that have no access any more in 2023. ?! contact them and was offered to buy same ranges with discount, but because of encreased price (same preflop seems now cost 3 times more) now i had to pay with discount more then i did in november.?! they lost all my trust

Mike Brady from Upswing Poker here. Thomas Pinnock contributed a couple of articles to Upswing years back and he was also a paying member + volunteer mod in one of our Facebook groups. My experience + member experiences with him were not great and we eventually removed him from the group. (This was around 2019 iirc.)

I regret ever lending him credibility via the Upswing platform, especially after reading numerous accounts of former Pinnock students/customers like OP.

We've updated Thomas Pinnock's author page on Upswing and added a link to this and other experiences TwoPlusTwoers have shared about him and Zenith.

It's worth noting that I've received at least a few messages over the years complaining about his services from people who did not post on 2p2.

I'm sorry to any unsatisfied customer who hired Pinnock or bought a Zenith product in part because they read one of his Upswing articles or saw him as a mod in our communities.
