i did coaching for staking for about a week a very long time ago shortly after bf, didnt work so stopped it. then Losched16 offered me a free boot camp and a stake after thats how it went. When I did apply I had a nice week long several page email correspondence with monteroy cuz i wanted backing and he said i wasnt good enough and he was right at the time. He trolled the heck out of me tho lol but thats how it went

high caliber player is a weird term anyway but ya whatever, and I never said i was that term specifically but we all know what i think of my ability level and i did send you a few nice pretty graphs granted some were old. I did about as well as could be expected for global staking in the games they had me in and thats probably why at the time i was their last remaining USA based stt/mtt player cuz the market was so bad they quit taking on new Us based players and stuck with ROW stuff. I returned my stake for wpn because I hated the bots and 10+ hr long mtts thats what happened.

Thanks monteroy for an accurate account of my playing history for your stable geez.

I most certainly have read someplace on this forum that Monteroy out right says he did stake you. Not going to look around to find it but Bwalzz was staked by Monteroy.

A new backer ( I assume the one being debated here) PMed me asking about this person, and I admit I did not even link it to people associated with the various Global Poker thread messes (as I tend to forget those details and the people in it the moment I leave the thread), so I passed on what I could find from that era (with our old email address). I found that we said no a few times to a stake, but we offered a coaching deal, but I can't really see much more after that, so I passed on that I was not sure what if anything was done, and realistically it was from a different time in this industry. To give some context, we do not really pay much attention to results from before 2017 (other than lifetime volume history and dedication) when considering an applicant today.

I had initially researched our current email archives as I could not remember this player and found nothing, hence the search of the older email address. A longer search would have found some info, so meh, my bad on that. It looked an uneventful, short stake from several years ago, which ended when the player wanted to move onto Euro-facing sites.

Losched16's boot camps at the time were a separate thing, and who was in them I would have no idea, though we did back several people who went through those at the time, so it was used for that. I never coached cash games, so it is not surprising that everyone's memory will not be perfect when talking about things (particularly ones that did not stand out) from several years ago.

My take on this mess of a thread is that a the player here overreacted to the backer ( I do not see how he was trying to scam anyone, but I admit I am not going to invest a lot of time in this), and the backer then ran away when he saw a lot of drama, which is fair enough. Seems the player here knows he creates drama sometimes as well, and somehow what should have been a nothingburger situation elevated to whatever this is, with unrelated dusty references to years past having a part in the exchange.

My suggestion is that those involved in this work this out.
